[E3 2015] Battleborn Trailer, Details, and More

Im pretty sure you saw game play of him flying and shooting down at guys in the trailer.

This winter is December 2015 to Febuary 2016.

As an Australian I got momomtarily excited and thought it would be here in the next 2 months.

As a new IP, I just think it would be suicide to go into XMas season against Halo, CoD, Fallout, Assassin’s Creed, etc. Wait until January when nothing is coming out. That’s how Dying Light did so well this year.

Of course, I wanna play it as soon as I can, so I’d be happy if it came out tomorrow.

I saw that in he CG part, if it happened during gameplay, I missed it.

The bit where it’s from first person and a big red target gets painted on the ground.

Well winter could mean anything between December to February. They could just wait till after they come out and the hype dies down.

Hope this game will end up being good.
Would give a reason to go for either a decent PC or a PS4. Well, next to Bloodborne.

When you say “freely fly” what do you expect from that thought?

I’d love to hear your expectations before I hint at what we might be doing there.

Yeah, lots of work. Worth it, though, I think.

Basically, be able to play the character without ever hitting the ground once, if you want. Have as much control over his flight as you do other character’s walking.

Honestly I doubt that’ll happen. It’d be really hard to design maps with full free-flying in mind.

true. more invisible (dead) walls

I remember something that flying heroes can only do this for limited amount of time. It had something to do with balance issues regarding melee characters.

I keep forgetting about PvP balance since I’m not gonna spend a minute in it.

PvE co-op forever!!!

That won’t happen until after Christmas. That’s why I think January is good for Battleborn.

I assume it won’t be “this character controls like jet/helicopter” because that would screw up balance.

This is my question/hypothesis from the old forums:

Cacheat calls it. We have to be very careful (in PvE and PvP) how much flight we allow, because otherwise, you either bump into invisible walls (which sucks) or you make maps in canyons (which is good once, maybe). Or, you go big open world, which is not really what we’re doing in Battleborn.

I think you’ll be pleased, though. Flying CSSSSSST - (we’ll call him until we can release more details) makes a difference if you use his flight ability correctly. Caldarius and Thorn as also both highly mobile characters (in different ways). Phoebe can teleport (blink) and a few other characters have some different ways to swap up their movement.

We’re more mobile than most shooters, but not quite a flying sim.

I mean it would still make PvE hard to design for too…

In the trailer I saw Caldarius homing in on a group while airborne. Possible buttslam?

Oke i’m stretching my abilities here. From wallpapers to video content. So here we go, my first Youtube Analysis video. At first i didn’t want to do a voiceover, but i wanted to see if i could do it instead of doing everything with graphical illustrations. It took me some time to render this one because the program kept crashing during the export.

I think i could have done a better job at some points, also i have some points i didn’t discus because i wanted to the video done. Wasn’t sure if it would work for me, so let me know what you think.

Thanks & Enjoy

I also think this is some kind of charge attack, if you look at my video i think Hawkman / CSSSSST is doing a buttslam

Well done, I missed some of that. Now I’m even more excited for this game.
