It’s been a long time since I’ve played ATR and even longer since I’ve gotten that objective (probably just once), and have never EVER payed the anomaly events any real thought.

That said I want to go in with a group of 3 and identify locations where the EE might appear once the anomaly is triggered.

I’ve only seen the Montana one once, mostly doing it at 100 OPs now but also keep doing it at zero Ops.
That’s too much of a luck factor, seeing it.

I did a run with Pendles and reset to 0 before knocking at the gate, then sped through the area and activated all the beacons and managed to get the anomaly thingy, so I think for the sake of Hunting, Pendles might be a quick and cheap way to run through it quickly till you get the right mission and he’s fast enough to get to locations quickly and inspect during the short seconds of the anomaly.

A team of 3 Pendles could probably be good for the Hunt.

I think it most likely indicates the area to search, which the exception of the demon bear op.

The demon bear op is on a timer and disappears quickly.

The other ops (mainly TFR as that is what I’ve played most) last until they are investigated. It takes about twice as long to investigate the Varelsi signal than it does to activate any other op.

With this in combination with them avoiding the Varelsi signal on stream, I believe we are not supposed to activate the Varelsi signal. It may need to be active in order to find the eggs but with Jythri saying it depends on the OP it may not matter except for the demon bear.

Just my two cents.

I’m inclined to agree. I could be wrong entirely and none of them are on timers BUT who knows?

I took the dev’s advice and “reversed” the audio files…Not sure if that is what the hint meant though. Btw I have the Ekkunar one too, but I’m not sure if I can post it until after the 23rd :confused: @MentalMars @loving-hatred

Yeah I tried an online decoder too, got mostly Ts, Ms and Os. At the very least its confirmation that the Varelsi Portals ARE important. I reckon the fact they said to “stand there for a bit” means the audio coming out of it is the key.

Maybe the reverse line was ment for dfabain711. What he has been doing in TFR with the shards.
I wonder if the portal sounds in some ops could be used as a frequency. Like hot or cold? Its a longshot, but that is all I got.

If It does have to do with the secret shards maybe the shield around the bot factory shard means we aren’t supposed to kill it? It is possible to shoot boomsday over that door. (Through the black wall above, the jump pads in there make this easy but it’s hard to find the right area to actually hit S-2.)

If it’s the engine room than maybe we have to reverse the power? Use the arrows on the ceiling and the cables and go against the flow of power?

Also HOE looks gorgeous. :heart_eyes:

Just watched that portal part again. They said someone on reddit was really close to figuring it out. Then they said reverseing that logic.

Does anyone know what reddit thread they might be talking about?
