[EDIT] Resolved by the Community Badasses here at Gearbox!

I Pre-Ordered Battleborn for PC at Gamestop, paid full price upfront, and confirmed on my Receipt that I was to receive a Pre-Order edition, complete with Figure and Firstborn Pack.

But apparently no Gamestop in my area received a single copy of Battleborn for PC, let alone for any Pre-Orders!

The poor girl called 5 other stores, and no one got a copy! Further, when I asked if I’d be getting a Pre-Order copy when my copy does come in, they said they had no idea. They didn’t even know IF I’d get a copy.

So not only might I not get a Figure and the Firstborn pack I was promised with my Pre-Order, but I may not even receive a copy of the game. I will receive a full refund if that happens, but that’s left me with no game, no answers, and a WHOLE lot of frustration on what was supposed to be a Badass day!

Even worse, I can’t get anyone to even respond to offer answers.

I’m hoping @JoeKGBX or someone else from Gearbox can jump in here, because Twitter is DEAD silent on this, from both the Gearbox and Gamestop sides, and even though there’s like 5 threads of Gamestop issues, no one is jumping in with answers!

Can we please get some help here! Or even a “We’re looking in to it, and we guarantee everyone will get what they were promised!” Please!

Im not sure gearbox can do much here, you are dealing with gamestop. I could be wrong but in my retail experience you will have to deal with game stop.

What I would personally do it just get my money back, buy it from steam and buy the figures here

What do I do to get my Firstborn Pack of Skins?

[EDIT] So far I’m not sure if I’ll ever get the Firstborn pack, though I know Gearbox wants to make sure everyone is taken care of. They just don’t have a solution yet, so hopefully there will be one. But until there is one, we don’t know for certain if there will be. =)

Yea, this sucks. I’m really sorry you’re having to deal with this. As you can imagine, we don’t have any control over the stock situation w/ retail outlets, so unfortunately, there’s not much I can do there. However, if you’ll PM me, we’ll see what we can figure out. I know that doesn’t fully fix your problem and I’m so sorry I can’t do more.

Hopefully this helps a little bit though!

Also twitter wouldn’t be the place to go, talk to your local game stop ask for the district manager and talk to them. Be polite but stern. Yelling won’t always help in these times.

You got dealt a bad hand here.

You could try https://gearboxsoftware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us and see if they can get you the skins since game stop dropped the ball.

Unfortunately the story I’m getting is that Gearbox didn’t send them the PC copies for this area. I spoke with a Regional Manager and they’re saying it’s Gearbox’s fault.

I’ll be happy if I can get a Figure and a Firstborn Skin code. And I appreciate you offering to help, because you guys are awesome!

But it’s not looking good in this area for Launch Day and Gamestop won’t take responsibility on this one.

[EDIT] PM Sent! Also it’s pretty poor form for Gamestop to blame you guys when it’s clearly their fault. I’ll be taking it up with the Manager I spoke with since you guys took care of business anyway! =)

Thanks for your help too! As for Gamestop, I’ll be cancelling my Pre-Order with them to pay for the Steam copy I’ve had to buy. I can’t believe they’re throwing you guys under the bus here! =(

[EDIT] Totally bought those figures by the way. I’m glad 2K decided to sell them too, I did want the whole set. Thanks for the heads up! =)

Hey guys! I currently pre ordered and purchase Battleborn today for Xbox one. My game will not launch. It gets to the Gearbox logo screen than kicks me to the dashboard. It did this to me on the beta as well. Please help. Been looking fed to this game for almost 2 years and can’t even play it.

Yeah, GBX has been fantastic with their Community! It’s great when you have a team recognize that their fans are an integral part of the game development process and lifecycle and engages them thoroughly, instead of ignoring them and hoping they’ll go away. =)
