Normally I have no issue with this and can generally push through it. But this is the first game I’ve ever played to strain my eyes to the point they hurt. You need to tone down the effects or people aren’t going to be able to play this because the mess on the screen can make people sick/physically uncomfortable. Turns out the take a break every hour rule actually applies for once XD.
I hope there will be an option for this problem.
Agreed. Effects should enhance the experience not melt your face off.
Adding a slider to change the effects to your liking would be nice.
it happened to me in one instance where i recived an explosión blast, i was around minions and i went flying, i actually spent around 6 seconds trying to figure out if i was looking up, down, or what all i saw was explosions and damage and corruptoin tendrils, and healing particles, and debuff particles, luckily i didnt died (playing as galilea) and actually managed to actívate corruption and the shield ability and hit like crazy to the air, and still got a triple kill. it was just plain luck and it was very disorienting but yah i agree in some instances it’s a lil too much.
Agreed, too much stuff going on. I hope the console versions get some type of option to tweak the visuals. Also, would be nice to get a video option to lower the graphics in exchange for higher fps.
Total Biscuit suggested a “Competitive graphics mode” which would tone down effects to allow more clarity, and that’s a pretty good idea…
However every skill and action needs to have a distinct visual and sound so that you can always know what is happening and where. I think they simply need to be tweaked for clarity rather than just “Toned down” to allow a more player and viewer friendly experience.
I usually don´t like the frequently posted “I lose track of the action, tune the effects down!”… but having people actually irritated or suffering is a no-no, I guess.
While I didn´t have much of a problem during the Beta and I fear for the general style and “responsiveness”(? … meaning you can tell who is where doing what) of the game should they tune the effects down, this issue has been brought up so often by now that they probably have to address it in some way.
