What is the point of El Dragon’s clap before it receives any upgrades?
Not much. It’s a cone shaped attack that has a bit more width than his standard up until the spin which I’m pretty sure is a 360 degree attack. The range on it is still short enough that you’re largely better off with standard attacks 90% of the time.

Yes but that point in the Helix makes all the difference! And you get it at lvl 3 so you really don’t have to go that long with out it.
Great at picking up runners close to death if closeline is down, since he isn’t the most fastest player out there.
The point of it is to blow tiny minions out of your way so you can escape quickly when you’re being body blocked 
A lot of characters have tools that let them blow minions out of the way, for most it’s the basic melee, but people rarely use them. Next time you wind up surrounded by a crowd of minions, hit LT and run through the hole

In Advanced mode this clap is sooo helpful.
Team of 4 of us trying different class combos for the most damage against the fast minions, this was it.
