You guys are probably right as I’ve only played him a few times since the patch but he didn’t seem crippled to me by any means.

it’s more like the AoE damage was just too high ( for everyone) before that patch. for example you could go on murdering sprees with oscars grenade early game with even half decent aim
Just played against the first really competent Dragon I’ve seen since the patch and I think he’s still a wrecking ball once he hits around level 7. Yeah, he can’t assassinate a whole team anymore but his attack speed and damage En Fuego is still insane. Iunno. Feels almost the same to me. Early game feast, late game beast.
Played wrong he’ll feed the enemy team all day. Played right he’s pretty much unkillable thanks to being able to Roadrunner away in 0.3seconds.

And played at high levels against similar high level opponents he will be a support melee at best. He lost his ability to be a carry and now only Phoebe and Atti (Maybe deande) can be considered melee carrys. (Also excluding Boldur because he’s broken atm)
Yeh ■■■■ Boldur man… The Unbearable has become the Unfun XD
Personally I see El Dragon and Atti bout the same in that they can do a lot of damage in the right hands and with teamwork but will do horribly otherwise. Before he felt like less carry and more broken ass gank machine.

Everyone agree that the penalty on his legendary gear should be removed at least?

Yes. I don’t know why it was on there in the first place. Lower the damage if necessary, but remove the penalty.
Seriously, A buddy I play with died about 4-5 times with him and his legendary active as when he escaped with a sliver of health he managed to not hit anyone and got screwed. no other character has such a negative passive on his legendary, maybe Toby but hell he gets 2 mines and once they can slow or stun it makes up big time specially since you will have the helix for it by the time you hoard up 1800 shards
Yeh it’s got suicide written all over it.
Was thinking about how El Dragon’s constantly a priority target today, and it’s not because he’s a threat it’s because everyone immediately thinks, “Woot! Easy xp!” when they see him. I feel like if they just adjusted how his stacks work it’d go a long way to making him more viable now. Jack the ceiling up, or increase the buff per stack, such that he’s a priority target because “omg I don’t know how many stacks he has and he needs to die before he’s strong enough to dive us!”
Eh. I used it for awhile and didn’t seem like the damage was even noticable. My problem with his legendary is that it in no way shape or form fits into my playstyle

Some relevant words about El Dragon.

That is wrong now, actually. If you dive the enemy team, you’ll be dead before you even turn around to clothesline out of there.
Maybe if it’s totally obvious and you rush em head on.

I just want the 2 second stun on his ult back. I don’t understand why they think 1 second would be good I can really hit anybody after splashing. As it is now it’s basically the worse ult in the game and probably one of the worse stuns

Even if you sneak up on them. His stun is now in the same position Kelvin’s was when they nerfed him. You need an extremely well coordinated team to get anything done with el dragon now.
Except kelvins stun had a shorter cool down and could stun the WHOLE team about half the time
Not to mention now with the minions being buffed towards the end of an incursion match they can totally melt you any squishy character. The AOE nerf was little too much in my opinion

Am I only the one that finds that the nerfs, while clearly overboard, aren’t THAT bad? The real problem is that, for Dragon to be viabe, you HAVE to stack bonus health and/or shield regen on him. His damage output has been diminished, but the real hampering factor is his health pool. A Dragon in your face that survives for more than two seconds will still wreck your face, if the K/D ratios of some players with him are to be believed (for my part I usually do the honorable score of about 6/4/4 to 9/6/3 depending on the team compos, but some still manage to have ratios like 15/2/10!).

I still get scores like this when playing randoms since he’s still a noob stomping character, it’s in his kit. Against good people he’s a support at best right now because of his inability to stay alive after diving. Rath has a safe knockup because he has range on it and can get away while Dragon needs to commit as his only initiation is also his escape.
