Enable Drop in Coop missions?

Is there a way that my friends or random players can join my coop mission midway? I really prefer that style of coop. The way Borderlands does it. Is there an option to enable that that I missed?

I’m loving the game so far. The humor is great too.

I haven’t tested yet, but can they join you from the main menu? There’s a “let friends join my lobby” option, but it’s “on” by default, so I’m not sure.

Part of the issue with the system is that dropouts can return at any time before a match/mission ends (and also cannot start a new match/mission until the one they left or D/C’d from finishes).

While this system has it’s upsides (not losing your XP and Credit gains), it also has severe downsides (i.e. cannot get replacement players - I’ve done A LOT of 2-person matches because 3 people failed to connect with us…).

So far it seems that if you want to play a specific mission, run it solo or bring friends. I want to play specific missions for now as I’m trying to play them in order, though I’m not sure how important that really is yet. And later I’ll just player match with randoms for any mission.

Wait, what? I’ve D/C’d and then started a new mission several times. Mostly when people vote for the mission that I JUST finished and I don’t want to run it again right after. I’m always able to start another story mission or PvP match immediately after I do this. Never once during the Beta or full release was I told I couldn’t start a new game until the one I left finishes.

The final mission can be queued for separately (The Heliophage), which really annoys me because then why the hell can’t all the other ones…?

Hmm, I have not actually read the prompt it gives closely I just realized. If I get D/C’d, it’s never at the very start, and I want to get back in so I do not void my gains.

You can chose to not do the same one again?

Also, what system? I play on the PC version.

Disconnected.

I don’t know about public games, but they cannot join private games that are already underway.

I’m on PS4. The prompt just asks if you WANT to reconnect to it. If I say no it lets me do whatever. I’ve done it mid-match, too, when my friend logs on and wants to run as a team. We both have limited time to play, so I’ll usually drop a PUG to team with him. It’s never had a problem with this.
