Not much to understand really. The reasoning is simple. Between those two elements you can tackle all health bars with at least a neutral level of resistance. Basically, radiation works on health and shields and cryo on armor. It’s a simpler way to deal with whatever you encounter…especially if you can can get both on a strong weapon. This is why I’m looking for an M10 cryo Kaoson with the 150 rad anointment for my Moze. That should work on pretty much anything.

That being said…it seems like some enemies are more resistant to those elements than others or maybe it’s just the weapons…not sure.

But Pre Mayhem 2.0 gear will still see you fine in M6.

The old Redistributor Chain Zane still works great in M10 if you replace the gun with Kaoson with 100% Cryo anoint.

Oh ok, well that better than what I had assumed. I’m currently only playing at M3 and will gradually make my way up through 2.0. It’ll be a shock when I come back after playing Zelda and Animal Crossing for a couple months!!!

Exactly why I have been trying to farm one for the past 3 hours

I’ve farmed Traunt for many, many hours and have yet to get a Kaoson with SNTL Cryo 100% anoint.

same here

He doesn’t because SNTL/cryo is still strong.

After a lot of :sob: and a bout of separation anxiety  I retired my Maggie and replaced it with a M10 SNTL/cryo Duc using a hybrid CCC/Seein’ Dead setup. So long as you land those head shots it works well for everything except some bosses (e.g., Wotan, Valkyries). For badasses/anointed, crit swapping to an Unforgiven is the ticket. It can hit for +5 million on crit w/o overkill.

M10 is not ezMode like the old endgame (i.e., M4) used to be but I’m HAPPY it’s not. I stopped playing BL3 once I finished DLC2 while I waited for M2.0 because the game was just too easy and thus boring. All the weapon buffs they did during the run up to M2.0 turned the TVHM/M4 into normal mode and I was bored out of my skull. So for me M10 has been such a breath of fresh air.

I’m gonna post my build but here is the thing, it’s NOT a M10 build. It’s my build and it’s designed around my gear and my play style (head shots baby ) and my current mobbing play loop.

https://bl3skills.com/operative/#035505110001003054121051050250000000000

My gear consists of the following:

guns
  • The Duc w/ SNTL/cryo
  • Unforgiven (max crit)
  • Zheitsev’s Eruption (dmg debuff)
shield

Transformer w/ SNTL/cryo movement anoint. The anointment is mostly useless from a DPS perspective because I don’t move a lot while shooting because of the amount of recoil the Duc has. It’s more effective to plant and shoot the Duc so you can land every shot on crit.

grenade

It’s Piss because of the 20% dmg debuff.

com

Seein’ Dead with:

  • pistol
  • weapon
  • Jakob’s crit dmg
  • +2 Playing Dirty
  • +3 Donnybrook
artifact
  • Icebreaker Victory Rush
    • cryo dmg
    • cryo efficiency
    • mag size
  • Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge
    • fire rate
    • mag size

The M2.0 modifiers I like are Galaxy Brain, Slayer, and crit. The only time I don’t use the very hard crit modifier is when it’s a boss like Wotan where consistent crits is impossible during certain phases.

The play loop for normal and some badasses is as follows:

  1. Use the first clip via Brain Freeze to freeze a target.
  2. Reload and dump a second mag into their head.
  3. Swap to Unforgiven for the kill.
  4. Swap back and reload.
  5. Repeat

This works well because the 2nd clip will get the Icebreakers 40% damage buff which amplifies the crit swap damage.

For 3x bar badasses and anointed:

  1. Zheitsev’s Eruption
  2. Drop barrier
  3. Zheitsev’s Eruption (this happens automatically when you drop the barrier)
  4. Switch to Duc and unload
  5. Switch to Unforgiven
  6. Goto 4

For anointed enemies I switch to the Perl because anointed can’t be frozen which neutralizes the Icebreakers damage boost.

GLHF!

The mini-militants are harder than hades to kill. I rather like them though as it is an example of how to make enemies different and more difficult without doing the crazy mayhem modifiers. I have Zane so without a lot of good AOE stuff I have to run up and melee them to stagger them then empty the Kaosan into them point blank. It is a change in tactics for me and I like it.

Joe is insane on M10. He is tougher than any of the mini-bosses IMHO.

I will also say the mini-bosses are insanely variable, the Roaster is light years tougher than The Tenderizer and Josie Byte is way tougher than Firewall.

I’ve heard his SNTL still works, I’ve just yet to make it work, so maybe trying your way helps? My issue with Zane, and I’ve explained this so many times. I love him, don’t get me wrong. But the fact that 90% of his damage comes from him being Sonic the Hedgehog is just so upsetting to me. Also I know he has builds for Mayhem 10, I’ve tried the “halflife” build for him, it was good. But when Moze, Fl4k, and Amara make Mayhem 10 look like it wasn’t even turned on, all while I feel a huge power struggle with Zane, he just needs some buffs. Plus I’m tired of Seein’ Dead… Not sure if that is what you use, but even I have to sadly admit that the moment I take Seein’ Dead off Zane, I can’t do anything. I was playing lastnight and I got Zane to do a Cartel run on 10, and it took me like half an hour to do. I hopped back onto my Fl4k and it too me like ten minutes if that. Amara is even more broken at the moment, capable of doing Billions of damage with a nova shield. Yes, a nove shield, and billions. Its nuts. Moze, if giving her any heavy with the 300%/90% anointment can one shot mobs, give her the Yellowcake and you don’t even have to make sure you hit a boss, as long as it landed near the boss, they die. All these others are making Mayhem 10 feel like a breeze and the modifiers just make it seem like a fun challenge style run (turn on death and you gotta watch out for the spooky skull, its fun and adds some difficulty). But with my Zane, I’ve just tickled. I did good in old Mayhem 4, but my build wasn’t even Seein’ Dead. I used a Splattergun with Antifreeze and got TK’s tidal wave to one shot mini bosses. Or Infiltrator with a rough rider and using cryo so my action skills would never go away and I could melt people with any gun I wanted. But since 2.0 I’ve needed Seein’ Dead just to even match my friend’s damages. Its just upsetting and I kind of am giving up on Zane until either something buffs his skills, changes some of his skills, or a new perk tree comes out (since gearbox keeps saying they aren’t making DLC characters we all assume perk trees, right?) I’m having fun tossing some birds at people on Fl4k anyway. POCKET RAKKS

Okay I guess this is confusing. I understand why its used. I’ve heard it explained. But Playing Fl4k or Amara, even Moze honestly, having ASE that gives you 2 of the main 3 elements AKA fire, shock, corrosive, while using a weapon that makes up for the last missing element (or radiation/cryo to sub for something) melts enemies WAY faster. The Zane builds I’ve seen using the Cryo/Rad style don’t use ASE anointments, and I’ve seen them shred… But I’ve also seen them unload 2-3 clips into a shield before the health vanishes. When you could literally switch to a thunderball fist, 9-volt, heck a nemesis, and their shield is down in less than a clip and you can move on. It just seems like wasted ammo for a “neutral” damage combination. On Fl4k I am running a x5 corrosive Linage with rakk attack bonus damage, a single shot Kaoson with rakk attack bonus damage, a x4 corrosive Monarch with rakk attack crit OR Breath of the Dying with rakk attack bonus damage, and a corrosive/Fire x12 Insider with rakk attack bonus damage. Using ASE fire and shock. I don’t even unload a full 18 clip of my Kaoson into some enemies. Hardened Badasses (you know, shields, armor health) will die in a clip of the Monarch or Insider if I’m close enough, and the linage is just as a just in case gun. I’ve NEVER run out of ammo. But you know who I run out of ammo with all the time? Zane using Rad/Cryo halflife build. I just feel that people are using the neutral because they don’t want to swap weapons? I don’t know. I just know matching the elements to the damage has been 10x more beneficial to me and my friend since like BL1 days. My Fl4k can wipe an area in less time than it takes Zane to drop and pick up his shield. Thats why I always make sure to have matching elements to the damage.

I constantly get destroyed by the enemies that use melee as their primary attack. There’s real no defense for it either other than a spike shield and since shields don’t scale with your Mayhem level, the spike damage is worthless.

also, another issue with these enemies is they constantly bull rush you and unless you can freeze them, any attacks other from a RL won’t set them back or even slow their bull charge down.

Security Chief Joe killed me at least 5 times in a row trying to make a UV run. He was pretty much invincible at Mayhem level 5 and my mayhem level 6 guns were a joke against him. I somehow got lucky and put him down, but it took several deaths in a row and every time i came back to him he had full shields and health again.

Again, to beat Joe, because I kill him before he even has time to regen his shield. Get shock, get corrosive, or get the 300%/90% anointment. He’s honestly not that hard.

Playing as Fl4k I’m happy when I find a particularly tanky enemy.
I whip out my Reflux and unload on it and it usually result in all the others dead and my target almost dead.
When faced against anointed you can keep hitting them when they are crystallized using them as a shield and the beams will keep spawning towards other more… alive targets, until everything is dead.

I honestly don’t get that 300/90 anoint. I got an M10 monocle and krakatoa with that anoint thinking it would be amazing…did almost nothing.

Playing as Zane I find that taking down anointed enemies is pretty hard without some good gear. If you don’t want to use the YC I recommend the Plaguebearer and the Monarch. NoPewPew and OPQ can also work.

300% over 90 and 150% radiation are the anoints you are looking for in my opinion. Sentinel cryo is OK but definitely a step below.

also, I forgot to mention earlier that if pretty much any annointed enemy shows up it’s game over.

They’re immune to pretty much any element and they’re attacks are 1 hit FFYL.

A couple of complaints. 1st. The anointeds. I’m tired of them. I’m running Moze on M10 and it’s in/out of IB constantly. If there’s more than one anointed it seems like it never ends. You drop one and then the sonar thing goes off and two/three more show up. 2nd. I rolled M10 with very hard using the buddy system. Normally not a problem even on M10. Then four or five pop up, all with the buddy drone, and the drone is hidden inside some wall or out of the area so I can’t shoot it. Now combine those with a few anointed on screen and the gameplay sucks.

Can’t do anything to those with the buddy because the buddy isn’t on screen. The anointed are essentially bullet sponges throwing out those eridium pulse orbs/grenades that follow you around and one shot you. Those two groups on the map at the same time and it’s a struggle to work the map. Most of the time the gear is garbage even if it is anointed legendary. I don’t want Monocle, ASMD, Wisp, etc. (long list). If I have to work through that mess there better be a x2 yellowcake, monarch, OPQ or Kaoson dropping. And these better be pretty much god roll.

I ran Neon Arterial yesterday and ran into the situation with the anointed and the thugs with the buddy drones. Took me over an hour to clear that 1st area. Had to take out the anointed that kept spawning and then run around until the stupid drones finally popped up from wherever they were hiding off map. All said and done and of the dozen or so anointed legendaries that dropped I managed to get one Lob (incendiary). The rest I left on the ground.

So maybe there’s a 3rd. The drop rate might be higher for legendaries and anointed on M10, but most of these are leave on the ground weapons.

unless u is enble on one modifier that boost NPCs’ DPS , or they got the boost from others NPC, generally, there was no boost or damage change on any NPC.

u found hard or their damage high, just as their HP etc got boosted, so u got an illusion only due to weapon damage isn’t high enough or in that MH lv, the more time u have taking on killin one NPC, the more of illusion as the time of getting damage also increased. if u weapon DpS is enough and it do on that MH LV, u didn’t feel it abnormal.
