No. Three kills three screams. Hardly worth the effort. I canā€™t tell if itā€™s a bug or GBX mismanagement.

The drop rates are probably 50/50, Kaoson was just dropping more frequently for me yesterday. Still if you can kill them fast, itā€™s best time to farm Kaoson, DNA or Fearmonger/Ghast Call.

Has General Truant been buffed to be almost impossible to defeat? I tried with my best character (Moze) which I usually play at Mayhem 5, and even turning off Mayhem, heā€™s a real challenge. I was using an Amara build and couldnā€™t defeat him with mayhem off. Could someone else try this and report it here?

Given that we were slaughtering Traunts two weeks ago AND Maurice was offering Kaosons last week in his machine - I think Iā€™m all set with their dedicated drops (OK, Ghost Call might be enticing).

It would be cool if after giving them raid boss HP they also were given loot pool of all current raid bosses.

I think that could potentially generate more complaints, unless you also got multiple rolls at the loot pool per kill - too many items so the odds of getting something you actually want are decreased.

As far as BH gear goes, Captain Traunt only drops the Scream and General only drops the Stalker. Just not worth it. Unless you want to perfect your shenanigans build to see how quickly you can take down one of those two Traunts.

I think just about everyone was counting on this event to be an easier farm for roided/vindicator Ghast Calls but alas. :upside_down_face:

Took General Traunt down in around 7 minutes with Zane at Mayhem 11. Heā€™s beefy and has a few key resistances. Keep in mind he resists electric and corrosive attacks (and I kept getting resistance on fire for some weird reason as well). Adjust your gear and build as appropriate.

Tried to disable the event by turning off the network. It was still way more difficult than before. I was using a non-elemental weapon and no difference.

Youā€™d need to restart the game to lose the hotfix if youā€™d got far enough for it to be applied. I believe it downloads during the ā€œSign inā€ portion of the startup sequence. I donā€™t think simply going back to the BL3 logo screen is sufficient to clear it.

In main menu, once downloaded you need to turn off the game.

I took my strongest Moze-Iron Cub character to all three Traunts.
Are there only three or is there more somewhere?

I found the Athenas Captain to be the hardest due to limited space (had to continually circle him for ages), I actually died twice before I started to pay more attention.
Followed by the General with the haunted Captain the easiest.
It wasnā€™t fun, just tedious.
Getting increased Roided Ghast Calls drop rate as a reward in the Heck Hole.
Will do that one a few more times.
Wonā€™t bother doing the other ones again.

If there is a silver lining itā€™s that the increased drop rate plus two items of gear being removed from Haunt means heā€™s dropping the Ghast call every run.
Still no Vindicator for us but weā€™ll keep trying.

Over the weekend all Truants were dropping a ton of stuff. I donā€™t know if it was secretly buffed, or I was just a victim of RNG.

FYI a new character gets the special drops without facing the tougher bosses.

Noticed that as well yesterday. All 3 were dropping multiple items from their dedicated pools every run.

Ugh. Tried the phaseflare + stinger trick I used against bosses during true trial events which was relatively efficient at the time to no avail against Captain Haunt, I give up on this event too crazy for me and no interest loot wise since you can get this loot anytime way easier.

edit:
using 200 phaseflare anoint I was able to do it still took me 20 min : 2 fearmongers and a roided ghast call
