That’s exactly how it is for SMITE on PS4 right now. I’m fairly sure that when CoD and Overwatch drop the people who don’t understand the team dynamic will leave and I’m hoping that there will still be a big enough player base left over to have those great tactical matches that we’re not getting right now.
I’ve pushed into the first base with 3 lvl 1 and 2’s, taken out the sentry and gone into the last one, killing it within 5 minutes of match start before anyone unlocked their ultimate. And we didn’t even abuse LOS. Leveling up helps, but ranged characters can pretty easily blow up those tanks from the get go.
I have a group of guys i met through just playing pvp. They are really nice and never get mad when they lose, I personally love it when we work together trying to come back from behind! However i dont know if Gearbox knows this but there are somewhat higher teams glitching their games. This Orendi had it where she was glitching to the point you couldnt hit her while at the same time had perfect accuracy. The same team had a Deande that would use her decoy with a really low cooldown and would at somepoints even and an Marquis who shot people clear across the map and was in no line of sight and also could teleport 20 feet. We played them twice in a row and somehow came up tying in the second game, like i said im not mad at the fact we lost i do like the challenge but come on, you can flat out tell these people were cheating.
It would’ve been better if they just focused on one big map for each game mode (except both capture maps which is more or less perfect). Literally no one wants to play Echelon or Cold Snap.
oh yeah, im not saying its impossible. im just pointing out that alot of the time when people do push early game they dont get far enough to make good progress then when there at 100-70 with 2 min left they think there safe until the enemy does one good endgame push and plow through everything. and drop to 50-70 and steal a win.
@Swightly i agree they should have focused on one big map per game type. of all the incursion ive played “most only what i play” a good 27/30 games are on overgrowth its my preferred map and it looks like it is for alot others as well
i do think there are alot of people who do this kind of stuff, although never confirmed but i do understand what you mean. i had played on orendi, and i was fighting marquise he was no joke 1-2 hits from dying and just started sporadically jumping and running and even though i watched shots completely connect with his body they never gave hit markers or damage. so i assumed maybe there was something with the random jumping and moving that made the hit boxes a bit glitchy?
Im glad im not the only one experiencing this. So far it feels to me that most m Matches are a snowball either u dominte or lose, no close matches no leveling up. The last five I played, 2 wins-3 losses, were over in the fi rst five minutes. I dont know about everybody else but im tired of snowballing a win and gettting snowballed. I want those close mtches neck and neck, those in my opinion are the best. It is sad but if things dont change a potentially awesome game will fail. Ty have a good day.
