i have had the same problem it worked fine this morning but then after coming back on it seems not to be working given the same message so maybe its the same for everyone atm
check back in an hour to see if its still the same
I got that one pretty often yesterday, restarting the Xbox helped for me.
I’ve been getting the same issue, and so have a bunch of people on twitter. I submitted a claim, still waiting on any kind of fix.
Seems to be working now though, so not sure what happen, hope its working for everyone else

Hey guys just did a hard reset (hold power for 10 second while console is on) and I’m playing right now!!! I’m amazed it worked!!
I tried that, unfortunately did not work for me.
Over 3 hours of downtime now.
I’m getting it to and nothing has fixed it. I hard reset my xbox. I unistalled and reinstalled it. I’m still getting it
bought and downloaded the game last night to enjoy a day of playing while I’m off work and still I am not able to log in because of this madness.
O.k. So basically, you just robbed me and these others of $60+ because this game is unplayable like this. What a stupid ass thing to do. All these people will likely never buy a game from you again if this is not fixed today. Respond to this damn thread!!!
I can’t believe this BS! I have seen some lame ass stuff in my days but never anything quite this bad!!!
I’d strongly recommend that new users read the forum rules, especially the bit about how being frustrated doesn’t grant any special posting privileges that mean they get to ignore the rules.

Same thing, played this all night and now can’t log in because of a failure to authenticate player with the Battleborn server message.

I should also point out that getting angry here has absolutely no effect on the workrate of the lovely people trying to fix it
Has anyone been able to log in? Has there been any official response at all?
It finally started working for me a few hours ago.
I saw no word from GB in terms of why it was down, or any ETA. I see lots of people are having this issue.
If you guys haven’t yet, make sure to drop a line to our support team. This definitely sounds like something we need to make sure we have documentation on.
