So you’re suggesting that everyone should just spawn with an elemental revolver? And not only that, the revolver should scale with your character’s level, which no other gun in the game does?

So I have been playing Fl4k and since lvl 20 I have used revolvers exclusively, specifically Smashers. It is an old fashioned revolver, although I have not found it with elemental.
So far I have destroyed everything in the game with my smashers and they work exactly like they did in BL1, which means to me they are insanely fun and very powerful and fast firing.
We all farm for our weapons, regardless of the type.
My man, they advertise 1 billion weapons, and you’re hung up on using ONE weapon, literally 1 weapon type. You even have 4 weapon slots. 99.9% of players have to use more than 1 weapon type going through the game because its not end game and your ammo literally would prevent you.

They literally revamped the weapon system in this game and I feel like it should have enough to please just about everyone. But congrats though I’m sure this thread will be closed once a mod comes around. And no I really doubt adding elemental revolvers is high on their list since a lot needs fixing and then bloody harvest coming up.
uh huh go back and play from level 1 to 50 tell me how many elemental revolvers you get VS how many elemental versions of other weapons you get. I will be waiting for your reply.
Honestly the way this is going I know a simple fix. Play borderlands and forget borderlands 3. They arent going to go leaps and bounds to change something like that and no point continuing a thread like this especially the way that its going.
I m not sure I can share your experience so far. On the first play-through you go with whatever you find. I m playing Amara and favor elemental damage regardless of weapon type but am forced to run with outdated weapons or use kinetic ones because the RNG god isnt with me. It still works out.
That being said my games have an absolute ridiculous amount of recolver/pistol drops to a degree where I usually increase my pistol ammo capacity first simply because I m forced to use that weapon type so much.

Revolvers are almost exclusively Jakobs. Jakobs is the old-fashioned, old-timey manufacturer. They don’t deal in elemental weapons because it utilizes new-fangled technology.
Revolvers not having elements in THEMATIC.
There is only one, ONE, elemental Jakobs revolver. Not only does it use E-tech barrel, but the game’s coding has SPECIFIC listings for the element of this SINGULAR WEAPON.

Normal Jakobs Revolvers literally cannot generate with elemental effects EXCEPT for this one.
Revolvers and Pistols used to have different ammo pools in BL1 too. I miss the Pestilent Crux but have leaned to look for guns that work better in the current game. Looking at how the guns work in Bl3, elemental doesn’t do as much damage as the defiler, crux, hellfire, volcano from the original game.

I tend to use 1 weapon type as much as possible until I run out of ammo to be fair to the OP, but on the flip side I don’t just ignore other types if they are good.
Also to be fair though, a lot of players in BL2 had builds designed around 1 specific weapon type.
It isn’t exactly fair for people to tell the OP to lrn2play or grow up just because he wants to use 1 weapon type…
On the other hand the game is what it is so either adjust with or accept it may not be for you.
Smashers were my favorite gun of all time and they are back in BL3 in full force and I love them so its easy for me to say this, but I feel for you OP.
no they should just drop just like any other gun can with a chance for an elemental effect from grey to purple just like every other gun i should not have to farm for a specific named drop just to have elements on a revolver when the other weapons can get them naturally as a weapon part. How the hell you got they should just spawn everyone in with one I have no idea but the insults at the end are a pretty good guess as to why.
