Fire Weapons and the Sentinel?

All of these test are done without skills or bar. I had a Shield of the Ages to survive and an Acrobat Oz kit during the large phase to get near his face. All in TVHM to better survive with similar parted lvl 50 Shooterang’s.

I have no clue what these multipliers are doing but fire is definitely the best on the red health bar portions of the fight.

Having used both, my impression is that the hard reboot is better. If you saved the mission (or reset UVHM), Zarpedon’s shock pistol from the chest in her secret room would also be worth trying.

Also, agreed that Gwen’s Other Head is a good choice for the large form, largely because of the critical hit bonus for face shots. (I believe the actual critical spot is the eyes?)

Best high damage Fire GUN that is UNIQUE??? No lasers please…

Fire Bullpup??
Fire Hail (if you can Crit)??
Fire Gwen’s Other Head (if you can Crit)?? I’m thinking Big Sentinel only for this one.

TPS Octo behaves the same as BL2 Octo??

And you feel damage is very good from it??

Are chucks from it worth a hoot?..or pretty minimalistic?

I would think the two octos are the same, and from my usage of them, they are. damage is ok, but I think you are better off with the bullpup, easier to use and better DPS. the chucks probably aren’t great because I feel like shotguns don’t chuck well in any BL game.

Well you pick the octo because you want a mid-long range shotgun with decent DPS but High DMG per shot, not the throw.

It’s more or less the same as bl2.

This. It’s basically a BL “hunter” shotgun, which makes sense since in BL2 you get if from Sir Hammerlock. Personally, I really like shotguns with a scope!

party lines pretty good, I never really liked it but It should serve you well.

You employ the Party Line just like the Flakker…correct??

But you are still aiming for hits…you just want to be at the sweet spot for the party bursts.

Similar to Torguemada.

Or do I have this wrong…

The party line should be aimed slightly lower if you’re far enough away to aim center of mass on another gun (like, maybe knee high or even lower) The ground will catch the stray pellets and the fireworks move up anyway, so you want them to explode near your target, not above it.

If you’re close enough that you would aim for the head, keep on doing that.

Favor targets that have their backs to a wall first since it will catch stray pellets and produce the fireworks

The guns it works the most similar to are the Pimpernel and Torguemada

OK…Findings…NON LASER at least for me and Wilhlem and the Sentinel.

UNIQUES GUNS ONLY! (and recommendations on shield and grenade)

Can be done…a little patience required because it’s a longer fight.

Best Unique Shield = Haymaker, hands down…I tried Moxxi Slammers with immunities, but spent too much time trying to get the boosts which seemed negligible.

Best Grenade, Shock Kiss of Death
Pistols = Hard Reboot in Shock, TS4-r in Fire
AR’s = Shock and Fire Hails
Shotguns = Company Man in Shock, Bullpup in Fire, Moonface or Wombat or Torguemada in Explosive (I personally would only use the Wombat on the big Sentinels face where it is EXCELLENT!
SMG’s = Fast Talker in Shock, Cutie Killer in Fire
Launcher = Volt Thrower (but it wasn’t that good and only use it if low on other ammo)

Now for an All Laser Unique Only try…LOL

Oh and I spent a few hours getting a Fire Octo…finally offered New and Improved with decent parts.

The gun shoots a nice tight pattern at range. But even when scoped… the gun shoots at a different spot then the crosshairs after the first shot.

first shot is dead on center…after that it begins an around the horn pattern…
high left
low center
low right

The pattern varies but the bottom line is the Octo, after the first shot, just plain doesn’t hit what you are aiming at making it rather useless for mid to long range engagement. And the recoil is horrible LOL

Fire Twin Gwens head was also discarded. Waaaaaay to hard to go to scoped mode and shoot the big sentinel. When I was successful it gave excellent damage but since it is a Dahl, scoped mode is almost a necessity.
