Ok great, it’s all purely by accident because I just went for the flying prefix. I’ll have to check out the rest of my gear and see if I need to change any,
Hammerbuster isn’t matching either, but it works in its favor.
Sorry for the nitpick.
I knew I was forgetting at least one, thanks
Alot of red text barrels don’t match, I didn’t realize until I did my good/bad/ugly series. I never added them up but I would guess only about half are matching.
But like chuck said they are locked.
The Pitchfork IS a Dahl gun
Whoops. I’m not even sure what I was thinking tbh. XD
I was talking about legendaries specifically, where it is rare not to have the barrel match with the manufacturer.
Legendaries with non-matching barrels:
Striker
Hammer Buster
Sledge’s Shotgun
Ok just checked my Norfleet and I’m not sure, it’s got Etech barrel Torgue grip Torgue exhaust Maliwan body and sight, it’s in shock and prefix is puissant
Any good ? Well yes it is but is it good for a Norfleet ?
I see that now, since it went from the sandhawk with a bandit barrel to legendaries my brain skipped an important word
Ogre!
My daily nitpicking has been done.
Ogre as well, but I don’t know if you count it since it was a dlc legendary
Eel beat me to it I see, I never realized how many legendaries compared to blues, pearls and seraphs there were with matching barrels. This is kinda interesting.
Forgot the Ogre indeed.
Uniques however are all over the place. I’m pretty sure there are more with non-matching barrels than there are with matching ones.

Norfleet is one-shot kill in just about any case, so yes.
Puissant is the damage prefix
I don’t know much about Launcher parts though.
Holy crap, dude. Just yesterday you didn’t know the first thing about weapon parts and now you know you got a perfect DPUH and a perfect shock Sand Hawk. Are you aware how lucky you are?
The Norfleet is overpowered anyway and will do the job with any parts, but yes, the Puissant prefix is a good one. Personally, I prefer the Punitory prefix for extra projectile speed, but Puissant is a very good prefix. At least you got the Maliwan sight to improve the missile speed a little. I would prefer parts that would diminish the Norfleet’s shortcomings instead of improving the thing it’s already good at, but at least all the parts you got increase the damage. It’s overkill on a Norfleet, but not bad. It’s pretty much the same as the only Norfleet I have. My Norfleet has a Torgue grip and exhaust and a Bandit sight, and it’s incendiary. I personally prefer it in fire or corrosive elements, but shock isn’t awful. What you got there is not what I would call “perfect”, but it is good enough.
Yes thanks to psychotic fruit who included a link for weapon parts explanations I know a little more now and will be more careful what I pick up, I do have a corrosive Norfleet with the exact same parts but would love a fire one, I’ve tried quite a few times but hyperious on op8 is difficult as he does not have any easy to kill minions that you can get up from ffyl.
And yes it seems I’ve been extremely lucky with what I’ve got especially with me only using prefixes to gauge weapons
Get a fibber(shock) and pimpernel(corrosive) and you’ll breeze through any op level. A ricochet fibber and anarachy does insane damage. A pimpernel and nth bullet will almost one shot any bots.
I got a fibber it’s none elemental auto correcting fibber the stats looked ok so I’ve tried it in frostburn canyon and southpaw stream & power and once you get used to aiming at the floor just in front of you it’s quite devastating, I’ll have to try it somewhere a little more difficult.
