Hey! This is my first time ever posting a build on this site sooooooo yeah!
(props to anyone who gets the joke of this build name)
When speculation about Fl4k began, I immediately assumed they’d be a radiation expert being as the other three characters seemed to have at least one element they had an affinity for. When the trees came out, I was incredibly disappointed to see there was almost nothing that boosted elemental damage in Fl4k’s tree at all. When the game came out, I was a typical fade Fl4k… until the first patch came. Then, I learned of anointments
65% Radiation damage when Gamma Burst is active? Sign me up! So I theory crafted and theory crafted and spend hours and hours farming for the loot I needed to test everything out. Even in pet builds the pet did barely any damage. So I began making a build around seeing how an elemental Fl4k would work. To my surprise? It worked great!!
Some pre-requisites
-The aforementioned anoint on good guns
-At least one of these guns being able to deal with armor, the build is much less effective otherwise
-Radiation damage boosting relic
-Either bounty hunter or legendary stalker relics
-A sick fascination with seeing things explode into yellow mist and adoration for that PSSSSSH sound they make
-Some sort of appreciation for the color yellow. You’ll be seeing it nonstop
Basically this anoint adds 65% of your damage as extra radiation damage onto the gun damage you’re already doing. This is further impacted by both elemental relics, mayhem modifiers, and even the type of enemy. This means that regardless of the enemy type, there is zero harm done for having this anointment. It is pure extra damage.
That said, the build can be a tad squishy. Be aware of this fact and keep it in mind as you play. I recommend grabbing the Spiderant scorcher, as it both raises your regen slightly, but also increases your elemental damage. This helps radiation, and any other radiation anointed gun with an element that you may be using.
I know this isn’t the idea Fl4k build, as even after the nerfs fade away friggin shreds things and the pet is honestly kinda in need of fixing, but it’s a very different way to play Fl4k, and honestly makes them way more fun in my eyes while also maintaining a strong kill potential. It’s something you can bust out in a group of friends and have people go “Woah that’s a cool build! I’ve never seen a Fl4k do that before!”
But besides that, thanks for giving this a read!
