If you don’t mind my asking, what is your build? Maybe we can figure out where that missing damage is.

Ok, but I was calculating that from 30% of the hunter skills with pet bonuses counting psycho head. I think it’s more like 20% based on what you told me.
My build is about this.

With extra points from friendbot

Assuming you’re using a skag, you should be hitting about 7,500 w/out IPS in your build. There are 2 places you could be missing that damage:
- Lick the Wounds 30% doesn’t work at all if you were counting that.
- The 20% Friendbot bonus is bugged and doesn’t work either.
Those are the only pet damage sources you have that don’t work at all.

dang I didn’t even assume friendbot that’s worse than I thought.
The 30% I was using was because I have 3 points in big game, so I should be getting a 30% bonus to hunt skills.
I thought it was just 3 percent from mdg, 4 from furious attack and 5 from interplanetary stalker. But sheesh also missing the 20% from friendbot that’s 32% total.

Friendbot could have been so cool too. It was a sad day when I learned that it didn’t work

what’s worse is having to find all these things out ourselves there’s no transparency.

Someone at gb should tag them as robot beasts and give both bonuses for all the trouble this tagging system has caused

Double checked whether Gamma Burst took Deadeye multiplier into effect. Turns out it does.
2222 * 1.3 (fast and furryous from COM) * 1.35 = 3899.61
(3899/4) * 3 = 2924
Deadeye is a V2 bonus in fl4k’s formula, and Gamma ignores splash while accounting for V2, so I’m going to recheck Go for the Eyes as well. Try to fill in the holes on where exactly everything fits.
EDIT: @Ratore We got so mo ■■■■■■■■ on our hands.
This is M0, no pet bonuses aside from +3 Fast and Furry for 30% pet damage. +5 Go for the Eyes on both.
With Gamma Burst
W/out
Gamma Burst lowers Go for the Eyes damage, same as it does for splash. It only seems to happen with Deadeye though…
Any ideas on what this could be?

Another one with a Cosmic Stalker, so no extra pet damage at all. Just 5/5 GftE
2222 * 1.75 = 3888.5
(2222/4) * 3 = 1666.5
This isn’t splash, so I can’t fathom what the issue could be here.

That’s quite weird, i’ll try to get some testing done when possible.

After looking over this video and a few others, I’ve got a working theory. Working on video
When I just have Sic Em’, Gamma Burst works fine and counts it towards the bonus radiation damage. However, once I added a Deadeye COM, it stopped counting Sic Em’ towards the bonus.
When I had 1 point in Go for the Eyes and 3 in Sic Em’, Go for the Eyes wasn’t counted.
At 2 points in Go for the Eyes and 3 in Sic Em’ (30% and 30%), one of them was discounted.
At 3 points in Go for the Eyes and 3 in Sic Em’ (45% and 30%), it discounted Sic Em’.
With 3 points in Go for the Eyes, 3 in Sic Em’, and the Deadeye bonus, it was inconsistent. Sometimes neither Go for the Eyes or Sic Em’ were counted, other times both were. Most of the time though, it ignored Go for the Eyes and counted Sic Em’.
This is hard to test because the skags are really stupid when it comes to attack commands and usually do something to mess up Go for the Eyes. Screenshots and video may take a bit, but for now there is something afoot here.

Interesting observation.
I doing a run through Athenas with Countess testing out a new spec
https://bl3zone.com/planner/AAB4CO3CP1CR3CS1CU3CV2CW5DA3DB2DE5DG3DH3DI1DJ3DK1DL5DO1DP1DQ4DR1DS-ac1BCpe1BHau1BEau2BG
Same less additive pet damage than my previous build, but more in GftE for one shot shenanigans.
Anyway, while out in Athenas, I kept noticing Countess blowing up entire mobs. I was using a quasar that just dropped, and I mean she was literally blowing them up, 3 or 4 dots just disappearing off the mini map. It was tough to make out numbers through all of the explosions, but one the one occasion I caught a glimpse, I saw a 322k, followed by what looked like a 766k.
Normally, there is no way Countess should be able to hit that high on flesh. What I think may have happened was that enemies within her blast radius took exponential damage, similar to Bore. Each mob within the radius increases the damage the group takes. With 2 mobs, the damage doubled to 766k killing them both easily within one go.
It’s weird, but it would explain a lot. I can one shot badass Maliwan enemies with her, but it is extremely inconsistent. This is the only way I imagine she could possibly gain enough damage to do that.
I’ll try to get some video and see if this is correct. If it is, this is really exciting!

PETS PROC HOLLOW POINT!
They need to kill with Go for the Eyes to do it, but this explains how Countess can one shot badasses sometimes.

Hollow point is always white damage and usually much higher then the hit that crit killed the enemy since it scales from overkill.

2x right?
I have trouble seeing the number, but I have occasionally seen numbers twice as high as what I hit. For the most part all I have to go off of is the second critical sign on the enemy hit.
I’ll try to get it clearer, but I have no other explanation for how countess can do this.
She cannot hit enough damage to one shot a Maliwan badass, it’s mathematically impossible right now.

Not necessarily. It not only gets scaling from overkill but like every boost increases it as well like splash etc.
In this example 8m turned into 28m Hollow Point.
And here we have 5m becoming 24m

Pets can’t get overkill though. They do get splash.
So I would be looking to find white numbers by my pet after the attack? I’ll see what I can gather.

In both clips the shields of all the enemies killed were already fully depleted. It just looks like its doing 300ish k crits to everything it hits with AOE.

Got a white number! Not the best video but should be up in a minute.
I’ll put together something more substantial in a bit, but I think that should at least show that something is happening.
