Hello ppl, im wondering if there is any forced items on quests later on in the game, i just reached promethea in my playthroughs.

My build stays true to kinetic damage and no elements whatsoever (as Moze) even for grenades and shields, and also using only vladof (plus another brand for shields because i have no other option) and im worried im going to be forced to use some kind of elemental damage in a quest like it happened in bl2. If thats the case i would greatly apreciate a heads up.

There’s one side quest that requires you to use a cryo gun, but that’s it as far as I can remember.

There’s a main quest that requires a specific gun, but it’s non-elemental and you don’t actually shoot enemies with it.

Oh damn… just 1 quest ? and there is no way to avoid using that gun to finish the quest ?

The side-quest involves freezing some strange creatures that Claptrap brought aboard Sanctuary III in order to dispose of them, since normal weapons can’t hurt them.

You’re not actually hurting or killing them with the cryo gun, so it’s up to you if you’d allow it.

I guess if its a claptrap quest i can forgive it, its almost allways fun and games with its quests so my roleplaying brain can deal with it.

There’s also the early one on Pandora with the cactus gun. I don’t remember if there are others though.

The chef’s quest, yeah. It requires splash damage tho, and its even a Vladof assault rifle with a grenade attachment, thats actually the main gun im going for with this build.

Here is the build if someone is interested, note that im no min maxer by any means:

The main goal is to use assault rifles and repeater pistols from vladoof, same for grenades, only kinetic vladof grenades, trying to stay true to Moze’s trailer, using the metch as much as i can with the miniguns attachments and all. Only kinetic, high fire rate full auto vladof guns with rockets or grenades attachments. Also im not going to use vampyr because its stupidly broken and i want to have fun, not steamroll the game.
