So, Iā€™ve installed the most recent patch 29/10 and did a clean install as well; Iā€™m still freezing in the Titan Production Plant. Could we get some information in regards to how this issue is being addressed?

Anybody seen these crashes since the patch today?

I spent some time in Claptastic Voyage and didnā€™t crash, hoping itā€™s not just luck.

Yeah, Iā€™ve been crashing in Titan Production Plant constantly still. Every 40-50 seconds unfortunately.

I havenā€™t gotten the patch yet (PS4).

I had my very first BL2 crash today. I crash happened when I jumped down into the Dragonā€™s arena in Tinaā€™s DLC. I reloaded and havenā€™t had a problem since. It was shocking because BL2 has been flawless up until now.

Question: did you notice the freeze happening more after you used her action skill, or is it just freezing whenever? Mine had been whenever, but seemed to be more frequent during or right after her action skill, when playing Athena.

This makes me sad. I really enjoy both games a lot, but this persistent glitch has really sapped the joy from the Pre-Sequel. I was hoping BL2 would be my, uhā€¦ Sanctuary?

Yeah same here, they also patched out merging and I was having a ton of fun doing speedruns. So I canā€™t play TPS and I canā€™t get the enjoyment out of BL2 at the moment either. Feeling quite disappointed really

But how many times did BL2 freeze after that and how close together were the freezes (if any)? I only ask cause, well, Iā€™m sure it would help them, but also because of the huge difference in the frequency and severity between the claims towards both games. One is pretty much being plauged, by all accounts, while the other seems to be suffering infrequently.

Iā€™m not going to claim I know whatā€™s really going on in the guts of the games, but I feel like the BL2 issue isnā€™t related to the TPS one, if only because they are still two seperate games in spite of being on the same disk. And I still suspect that the issue from may is different from the current one, which only muddies things up more, Iā€™m sure.

The current patch does not cover the instabilities TPS has on some maps. I already asked Jeff about this.
It may help a bit, but it is not a stability patch for this issue unfortunately.

Installed update to version 1.03 when I got home from work (10/29, 4PM EST) and then rebooted the PS4. As I was already in the Titan Robot Processing Center on the ā€œLetā€™s Build a Robot Armyā€ quest, I got to see whatā€™s what. Hereā€™s how itā€™s gone for me already:

First Attempt - crashed before I got into the main hall. Something was off already when this loaded because the item identifiers werenā€™t showing up.

Second Attempt - completed the turret calibration part of the chain with no issues. Attached the legs. I then did a save and quit. I do this so I donā€™t have to repeat the steps over and over again, and since this area isnā€™t that big, I donā€™t have to worry about killing everything 15 times over.

Third Attempt - froze on me going down the hall for Felicityā€™s legs.

Fourth Attempt - froze about 3 feet away from the re-spawn point when I logged back in.

Suffice to say, whatever this update has done seems to have made things worse than before.

UPDATE - managed to make it through on attempt number 5, now will have to see what Tychoā€™s Ribs brings to me when I get there.

On the same quest with the same problems friend! Itā€™s very frustrating, I managed to port away and I suppose I have to be happy with sidequests til thereā€™s a fix.

I love Borderlands, but I wish I could get my money back for The Handsome Collection. I rushed home to try TPS again since I saw the 1.03 patch was out, and the game froze immediately in the Claptrap DLC. Really feel like I got cheated out of my money with this game so far.

Patch did nothing, or made the problem worse.

I crash rarely in borderlands 2, but I crash consistently in B:TPS.
Areas:

Titan Robot Facility- 0-20 minutes max
Tychoā€™s Ribs- 0-5 minutes Max
All of Claptrap DLC 0-2 minutes max.

Game is pretty much unplayable in those areas.
Could we please get some feedback on what Gearbox is going to do for PS4 users?

Ok, so I have never posted on a forum before, never been a social gamer, not since Quake and Unreal Tournament at least. Anyway, now I feel the need to have my voice be heard. First. I love the Borderlands games, BL2, TPS and Tales, tho I havenā€™t played the 1st, Iā€™ll assume it was cool too and hopefully i will get to play it one day. That being said, I donā€™t know if I will ever let myself buy another game either in the series or by the same developers. I have never felt more let down in a game. A month or so ago Iā€™m playing TPS, I get to Tychoā€™s Ribs and it freezes, I brush it off and restart, same thing, different spot and time, then again, again, tried to speed run thru the level, freeze, (which worked in an earlier level that had the same problem) tried to speed run while looking down the entire time to keep the graphics to a min, FREEZE. Stopped playing. Today, I see a notification that an update downloaded, my heart starts racing, Iā€™m ecstatic, I couldnā€™t load the game fast enough. Iā€™m playing along getting back in the swing, all is well, 20 min in it freakinā€™ FREEZES! So I go online and find the list of bug fixes. I find it extremely frustrating that they can find the time to make all of those changes but not the one that is keeping me from being able to complete the game. I have not had a single playthrough yet. I feel like I wasted my money, I may as well have just tossed $60 out of my window while driving down the highway. Iā€™ll never get it back and it seems Iā€™ll never get the satisfaction of completing the game, so all of my time is gone too. Please Gearbox, 2K, whomever, restore my faith in you, donā€™t leave us all hanging. Iā€™d like to invest in your future products but as of this moment I donā€™t see them to be a wise investment of my money or time. Thank you for your time in reading this post and letting me rant, now please just fix the game so all will be right in my little world.

The only thing I can recommend at this point, if the patch didnā€™t resolve your freezing issues, is to play the game in offline mode without being connected to the Internet at all. Supposedly, that has worked for some people on PS4. It is by no means a permanent solution, but could at least be a temporary fix to allow you to get thru the area you are currently having issues with.

Please do. Extremely frustrated. I bought thc to play the presequel, and I havenā€™t been able to finish a playthrough.

Online, offline the maps I listed above are unplayable.
