The problem there is that while he’s clearing your base you’re chasing him. He’s stealth and super fast, you’re not supposed to be able to catch and kill him, so ignore him. He’s clearing your base, so what? That means his team has four players available to skirmish over mid while yours (should) have five, use that to your advantage and win mid so you can set up a push on the enemy sentry. Your base defenses are only effective if the enemy team is in your base, chasing him is counter-productive to the objective, push the enemy while they’re a man down.
I disagree. Firstly, this game is not Paladins, it’s only marginally similar. Using a different game to compare is not a good example because, well, it’s a different game, with different mechanics and a different engine and different variables.
If Pendles could be taken out of stealth simply by taking damage he would be useless. Think of all the potential damage sources from AoE or stray fire, shock turrets, bonecrusher thralls, you could spot him then just throw random attacks out until you hit him then he’s dead, kinda takes away from Smoke Bomb as well, why re-cloak when you’ll just be instantly revealed anyway? He’s very squishy, if he uncloaks at an unfavourable time he’s head, he’s an opportunist and by removing his stealth so easily you take away from his opportunistic playstyle.
Put simply, if he’s raiding your base and you’re chasing him, you’re making a mistake. Even if nobody’s chasing him but you’re losing anyway, you would have still lost and probably lost worse if that player was using any other character because that character could have a presence in lane and a bigger impact on the outcome of the match. Snipers and other ranged characters can take out buildables early and have been doing so since beta yet nobody complained then, what Pendles does is no different except that he has no influence in lane and less impact on the match.
