How so? It’s an exact metaphor for what it is. Every single match too.
Hey since we are posting vids to prove or disprove if she is op or not here is mine. https://youtu.be/F6vYuNIVlZ4 this is a game i just played.
I dont know how to make it show as a video on the fourm
I didn’t see the skill activate at first. However, can’t really say a character is OP just because it easily kills one of the squishiest characters in the game. Show me Gal killing full health Montana and a full health Orendi solo and then we might have a discussion.
This doesn’t show that Gal is OP. Sure she stunned you, after you lost half of your shields to Caldy. And then Gal and Caldy both went for straight DPSing you. There may have been a third, but I can’t be certain.
No it was just her i died 15 seconds later after she chased and she did all the damage. Cal might of done some but it was 200 max didnt show as it might of been to long and this is without her des field.
Yup, he’s getting the nerf hammer.
Personally I think she’s fine but the silence and the ranged sword attacks are a bit too potent.
The only easier stun is Kelvin’s - and it only lasts 1 second, doesn’t stack with multiple touches, and costs the use of the skill, doesn’t have a shield, and the skill’s use also moves you AWAY from your target.
Miko’s Stun is at Lv. 4, Caldarius base blind forces him out of position if he chases.
Galilea’s Stun capitalizes at both close and long range. Even if she goes out of position, she can pull up her Shield for 1000 (where you just need to leave or be baited).
If she’s Lv. 5 she can either kill you or escape right away even if you’ve caught her.
Only Caldarius’ ult can guarantee an escape if you’ve been cornered, besides her.
But lets not forget that he needed a good buff to be viable. Galilea needs a good nerf to be viable. She’s labeled as a “Disrupter”, fine. Keep the stun. But why not reduce its duration? Lets adjust her helix, Toby was the Cheese God in Early Access - and clearly overpowered. Lets make the Lv 1 Mutation be a Push Out instead of a Pull In so it synergizes less with Lv4. Lv 4 Right “Desecrate deals damage to enemies inside its area of effect. +743 Damage over 8 seconds” is a grossly large number anyways too. That’s 743 damage without skill damage items just by body blocking someone with your shield up? LITERALLY NOT EVEN STRIKING ANYMORE.
All of this is a rapid rush to Lv10 where it only gets more severe.
An “unlucky” Orendi play, should be just that, an unlucky Orendi play.
But it wasn’t. Full health, half shield. Even with the shield ricocheting - IT WAS ON THE FLOOR. If it was a Scraptrap, I’d understand - but then I’d jump. It also takes munch longer to set that up. The Orendi didn’t initiate contact, the Orendi was on the way out. The pull after the stun prevented Orendi from using her namesake mobility.
Thats been nerf like since the beta it does half that now.
Honest her stun doesnt even annoy me it 2 long but its 1 target even with bonce everyone else can get more than one target for less time and those who cant miko, shanye, tody ghalt have 2 seconds.even isic has 2 sec stun than can hit many targets.
What does annoy me is the unkillable ult she doesnt take damage only cc effect i can still shoot cal when he is in the air. Her aoe pull she cant miss with it like ghalt and it just pulls everything her dangerous to go alone ranged dps that gives her like a 100 percent damage increase. Silence that can last 8 seconds. Damage amp that i have been told is only 17 percent (still better than anyone elses) it feels like alot more.
No they are just removing his ability to cheese the sentry on overgrowth.
Ref: MentalMars - I assumed it was up to date. MENTAL MARS FIX YO PAGEEEEEE.
All of these stuns are either longer set ups, take more skill, or move you away from your target.
- Miko’s: Arch and toss. (but honestly, a really good stun.)
- Shayne’s: Replaces and expends her pull
- Toby’s: Can’t combo with his vortex.
- Ghalt’s: Can be destroyed, and takes an amount of time to set onto the floor AND arm.
- ISIC’S: Relocates him away from his target (Unless you’re amazing, at which point - you deserve that, but then his style of attack makes it hard to capitalize on that.
Her stun is too strong to, it has no conditions. Personally, I think it should just slow.
And toning down his strength from his sniper.
Really? Dunno why its only good if you manage to land 3 shots on someone (2 later but even then its pretty easy to make him miss)
Not entirely true about her being unkillable. She is still suspecible to being damaged from aoe attacks which I have experienced a few times using my ultimate when getting caught by an Oscar Mike airstriking me.
She does have a damage reduction when using her ultimate though.
can i get sauce on that?
Not following.
he wants a “source” if you meant nowa. and i guess marquis can be rather op in the right hands i didn’t expect a nerf though am rather surprised if it is true.
When you look at a lot of the characters that are considered “too powerful” they have a lot of control effects and can chain them with limited risk. Galilea I kind of feel all the little nerfs to bring her into line are missing the fundamental problem: she can pile on too many control effects/debuffs easily. Within a single build she can:
Throw shield for:
- Stun
- Wound
Drop field for:
- Pull
- Silence
- Slow
Issue with silence needing a nerf (it really shouldn’t cancel abilities in progress) aside, Pre-patch all you needed was the easy to land point blank AoE which made the shield more or less guaranteed without wasting any duration. Now I guess you need to land the shield first (always the stronger opener) and then drop the field after. So it’s still not really that hard to land the combo.
Compare that to Rath who is also a pretty strong character:
Smash for:
- Pop-up
- Silence
Cross Blades for:
- Slow
These are a pretty strong combination of control effects but they are a little harder to land. Combined with Dreadwind he can control kill some characters from full health. With team support and solid co-ordination his control is strong enough to be devastating.
Also being killed while your controls are (mostly) locked out really isn’t fun.
Thats all fine, especially on incursion when everyone is so close together so it’s easier and more predicible to expect someone to help out whoever is getting focused by her. And Galli should be the character to respect if she get’s close to you. However usually she gets focused down to death and her DPS is low enough to where you can have someone tank it out while galli’s supports get focused down based on everyone’s expectations of her. I have a 72% winrate in general while not playing Galli, and often when I see her, she get’s focused to hell because once she has half hp she’ll start to get scared and lower her DPS by bringing up the shield. All the while I focus down the rest of her teammates while Galli is recovering. I no longer see the games where she’s 15+ kills up and 6 or less deaths down.
A real character to look out for is El Dragon, i’m a lot more worried of a level 5+ El Dragon than a Galli especially if her stun is used up (and not hitting me of course) since El Dragon can solo kill multiple enemies within a short time given the opportunity. She has all of the utility but none of the damage, a lot of the roaster can dish it out much better than she can. I think it’s more proper to see her as a guardian from smite, a character with a lot of disable and decent sustain but little damage. I don’t play her at all so im not vouching for my own interests but she’s been over-nerfed I feel, her damage is way to small by herself but that’s just me, I have a high tolerance for pain as a veteran gamer.
