Game crashing during claptrap dance (not DX12 issue)

Game crashes during claptrap dancing at beginning. Tried adding -NoLauncher and -NoStartupMovies but then it just crashes at loading screen.

Checked the ini and made sure it is running dx11.
Reinstalled the game.
Reinstalled Epic launcher

Having the same issue myself, I have tried everything you can at this point.

Fixed mine by upgrading to windows 10

FYI you can still upgrade to 10 for free on Microsoft’s site https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

This is my exact issue as well. Been waiting on support on my open ticket but nothing so far.

Is upgrading to Windows 10 legitimately the only way to fix this? Because they for some reason, despite stating Windows 7 being in the Minimum and Recommended requirements, have the game try to access something that might not be there in Windows 7?

annoyed sigh

My guess is that it is not an issue with Windows 7 itself because I would think there would be a lot more people with the issue if anyone with win7 couldn’t load the game but there is something that gets fixed in the upgrade. I would bet that if you did a clean install of Win7 it would probably fix it or you could try to upgrade then revert back. I figured that I’m gonna have to switch to 10 eventually anyway so might as well do it since it’s free.
