Game fails to open

Description: During installation, the game stops downloading repeatedly giving me a “Disk Write Error” message. After installation the game failed to open. NOTE: this was solved by uninstalling, then reinstalling, but I thought I’d put it here anyway.

Observed Results: Un-playable game

Steps to reproduce:

1. Attempt to download the game using the key given by email
2. After installation, launch the game to be greeted by an error message

Expected results: For the game to launch successfully, and gameplay to commense

DirectX error of some sort; the correct and necessary runtimes are supposed to be installed with the game by Steam. Glad to hear you got it solved, though.

I’m actually having the same issue even after I uninstalled and reinstalled I’m still getting it. It could be an issue with my computer idk. Should I submit a ticket as well?
