Sometimes the lighting in the game can be WAY too dark. Like almost pitch black. I’ve messed with my visual settings (HDR, brightness) but nothing seems to work.
I’m starting to think it’s a bug too. Because it’s not all the time. It’s only sometimes after I fast travel or use a menu the game just suddenly becomes super dark. Maybe it has something to do with the time of day mechanic, but there are times where I almost literally just can’t see anything.
Is anyone else experiencing this or am I the only one?

Try disabling bloom settings, may improve it.
Forgot to mention I’m on Xbox. I have no such options. Unless I’m not seeing it.
Yea I’m on PC so unsure what options are available for consoles. Best of luck.

I have an issue seeing mobs in certain areas on Xbox as well. Scopes make it even worse but sometimes I need to be right on top of the mob to see them especially the little guys.
Not sure if worth mentioning - but have you tried to change your TV output settings?
I recall I ran into some issues with dark areas in Bloodborne on my 4K UHD TV, however, one of the options had a contrast game mode or contrast HDR mode or something similar, which greatly improved the lighting of Bloodborne when compared to the regular Game/HDR mode. I’ll double check the TV settings once I’m home.

I will try that when I get home. It is currently just on game mode but I haven’t messed with TV’s settings just xbox settings.
No it has to be the game. All my other games look fine.
It just gets really really dark sometimes. Where you can’t even see what’s in front of you. If I save/quit and restart that usually fixes it but sometimes it doesn’t.

FYI, I was playing with a friend and I could see it looked like daylight on his and night on my screen. When I shift-tabbed to get into the steam overlay, the steam overlay was dark also!
I turned off HDR and that fixed the issue! Hope this helps people.
