Didn’t work

I would do a clean uninstall of your video card drivers and reinstall properly.

What’s the driver version and release date showing up in the geforce experience app. Mine says it’s updated but showing 436.3 release date 8/20 even though I went into the nvidia website and downloaded the 9/10 driver named 435.3 WHQL.

Im running 436.30 also.

I have lost all hope to find a solution ourselves. Tried everything of above, even I completely formated my PC today and fresh install everything in it. Nothing changed, after few minutes playing, it crashes and closes. My specs are: i7 6700K, Nvidia Titan X Pascal, 16 Gb RAM, running the game on SSD.

The curious thing is that I can play like 30-45 minutes straight on first play of the day, and then it starts to crash every 5 min.

I’m totally blaming Gearsoft for this issue but I’m half concerned that it could be related with the May update of Windows 10. Anyone without this Windows update is having the issue?

Was having issue before May update. Installed may windows update today and still crashing.

Thanks for the confirmation that it does happen with versions prior to may update. Now I’m pretty lost on what could be the root cause of the issue.

Did you disable SLI ?

I’ve tried all the solutions above and nothing seems to solve the problem.
Ryzen 3700x, RTX 2070, Aorus Ultra X570.
Game is unplayable for me. Crashing all the time.

I’ve tried all above solutions as well. I can’t even move my character before getting disconnected.
i9, Geforce 2080, 32gb ram, 144hz monitor and its on a SSD with only 4 other games. Bought computer in February and this is the only game I’ve even had a hint of difficulty running.

I had some horrible issues with the game with seemingly no solution.

Then I tried this:

Add it to steam
Set Launch option to " force-glcore "

My crashes stopped directly after trying about anything in the book.

How did you add the game to Steam?

Games
“Add a non-steam game to My library”

Then you right click on Borderlands 3 in your library and select Properties.
And then go into Set Launch Options and type in " force-glcore "

What issues were you experiencing? Shut downs?

I have Borderlands 3 through the Epic games installer. It can’t add Borderlands 3 that way. I’m trying to see if there’s a workaround.

I have my own thread where I went into more details about it.

In short I crashed upon entering Map or Log (and sometimes entering a new area)

You can do it, I also have the game via Epic.

You just have to add the Borderlands 3 executable (which is wherever you installed it)

Okay, I found it. Thank you.

You might find this interesting…I tried your suggested fix but since I could not find the .exe I instead added the Epic Games launcher to Steam (Launcher to launch a game, lol). I added the launch options you included and I managed to have the game run for the last 40 minutes with no crashes, despite not being the EXACT fix you were suggesting.

(Yo dawg I heard you like game launchers so here’s a game launcher for your game launcher, so you can launch a game launcher while you launch your game.)

force-glcore is an option for Unity based game to force the game to use OpenGL Library. I have no idea why this would have any impact on a DirectX based game using Unreal Engine.
