Fl4k players be like, “Welcome home Moze brethren”

I think the issue is that with Amara you actually have to aim. With moze I could literally AFK with my cat pressing the grenade button and clear mayhem 3 SlaughterShaft

which isn’t really a valid argument if you ask me, if people doesn’t like that playstyle they don’t need to use it. also did gaige need to aim much at all ?

i don’t believe someones skill in aiming has to do with anything in this game.

The Flak nerfs are nothing compared to this tbh. 70% hex grenade dmg reduction, 33% flakker dmg reduction with a magazine of 1 meaning you will run out of ammo since it takes them straight from your ammo pool, and no grenade spam and less healing from grenades.

The hex nerf was about 30% all in dots were untouched, impact was nerfed

I don’t have to aim (much) with FL4K’s infinite grenade build. Just point in a general direction and spam rakks + grenade + rakks + grenade + rakks + grenade forever and ever and ever.

Does anyone know if PS4 users got the uodaye yet or if they know when they are supposed to get the update?

I would say that the original nerf to Fl4ks leave no trace was equivalent that only allowed him to return ammo once while in Fade away. I agree the damage nerfs to grenades seem very extreme though and I overall hate all nerfing. Grenade Moze was fun to play and that’s what makes Borderlands unique. Becoming a badass and demolishing everything. Hopefully they take a step back and make it playable.

Still, you’re not healing from those grenades and they don’t crit. Or give you infinite ammo in your magazine which you can shoot+constantly throw grenades and get 100% splash damage from not reloading with the class mod. With Moze’s grenade spam you could get all the benefits of the Bottomless mag tree with 3 talent points. Actually more since it also gave you grenades

to the people raging about Moze, they put the last 2 hotfix in the patch, not the 3rd. This is why its back to what it was 2 fixes ago. For some reason the patch rolled out without their consent. The last hotfix will be applied too, the patch is not even supposed to be live so you might have bugs too.

I get the nerf outrage, but please is it so hard to stop 2 mins and think.

This isn’t official

Fair enough. Still glad I saw the writing on the wall and decided not to get too attached to my Moze. Amara and FL4k 4 lyyyyyyyyyyfe.

(Until they get nerfed to the ground and I just quit in disgust).

From what I’ve read no. It looks like they changed something that anyone with a brain could see from a mile away: Grenades that basically applied single target dots to multiple targets were changed that the single target dot does not count as splash grenade damage (who could ever come up with the idea that a single target dot should not be that kind of damage? They must be crazy…).

This of course allowed for crazy passive healing (you only have to make sure that enough dots are active), that of course is broken when you are adding effective HP much much higher than any other VH can dream of. Now you’d have to look for grenades to doing DoT heal (which pretty much is the unintended part) but burst heal (which from a design point of view is much more in line with health to shield conversion and a huge shield pool).

Thinking this would be a good mechanic would be like suggesting an item with the following description: You cannot die (which still would be worse as you would be loosing out on Full Shields bonuses and percentage of health bonuses) or Do not take any damage.

that’s really what borderlands is all about. to have fun, get badass ■■■■ and melt everything. there’s no skill check involved, there’s no need to flex your pex on how great you’re playing a game. it’s just good 'ol chaotic fun. getting weekly nerfs is quite the oposite of that.

yeah, they buff other things too but it’s not up to them to decide what i should use.

@Colossum3

oh and i forgot to mention, amara doesn’t need to aim that much - phasegrasp make everything easy targets.

This Moze nerf was completely unnecessary, at least in the way it was done. As was said before the infinite grenade spam was bad and should probably not be a thing, but Vampyr becoming basically completely unreliable while also being the only good way to regen health/shield basically makes Moze a glass cannon, no matter the build.

There is basically no reason to play a Shield of Retribution/Bottomless Mags build as that means that you have no healing whatsoever, at least no effective healing. And instead of doing something to compensate, like making Force Feedback a percentage-based shield regen skill, they just leave it at that. Even funnier is that they said that the Bloodletter nerf was to make people use the skill-based shield regen, which Moze now basically has none. It’s either Big Boom Blaster or bust now, at least on the Circle of Slaughter and even mobbing now forces me to constantly stop for 20 seconds to regenerate my shield (as I said before, a big shield that doesn’t recharge quickly isn’t a good shield, which makes the Shield of Retribution tree seem extremely imbalanced).

I just hope that they either made a mistake with this and hotfix it out or that they at least buff the Bloodletter mod, so that it actually quickens the shield. Also, not letting elemental grenades register for Vampyr more than once is completely backwards and makes no sense. They could have just adjusted the healing from grenade damage of that grenade type, so that we heal less from it and that would have been enough.

You can throw a shock tediore/ shoot a shock weapon or grenade at your feet with the transformer and fully regen it.

Don’t forget the biggest hit… duration.

At the end of the day it’s just another nerf to Moze while giving us nothing in return. It’s just making her weaker and weaker. This is not diversity. This is execution of a character. You take and take and take and give nothing. Having a powerful character is one thing, nerfing is one thing but crippling every possible build for a character is a whole other thing man. Gearbox said that MOST players stick to one character their whole playtime, so HOW do they expect Moze mains to just continue to deal with NOTHING but nerfs to her skills and builds? They said nerfs were gonna slow down and not be as brutal as last week and yet now you annihilate yet ANOTHER Moze related thing. Seriously dudes?

Well, that makes 2 possible shield choices, with one being more cumbersome than effective. I appreciate the tip, but it makes no difference as it only shows that Moze has to rely on extremely specific gear to survive, despite her having a whole tree that is about survival.

Edit for clarification: It’s arguable if the Shield of Retribution tree is really a survivalist tree, but the amount of defensive skills makes it seem like one.
