Splash is slag, projectile is shock, so a bones is good with it
I mostly didnāt use Scorn aswell, slag came mostly from Ruin + Converge and a slag betty, free hands for swordsploding or using other smgās like a tattler.
@Chuck80
Doesnāt the bone also boost the splash of a normal plasma caster? I donāt remember as I was never a real fan of the Bone relics.
cough Yellow Jacket cough
I donāt like the Florentine at all. And thatās disregarding my dislike for Maliwan.
Then again I donāt like giving up a weapon slot for a dedicated slagging tool either.
How does everyone here feel about the devastator? Iāve never gotten one, but I havenāt heard great things about it the few times itās been talked aboutā¦
Isnāt it just a weaker version of the pocket rocket, which is just a weaker harlod?
Technically the harold and pocket rocket do different jobs, because the haroldās spread is distinctive and I guess not always the best choice. That said itās so absurdly powerful you can usually just spray without worrying about projectiles or aiming
Donāt get me wrong, I like the pocket rocket. You do have a good point about the 2.
Yes it does, but the splash part is less significant than the shock one, so a bones is still a good choice.
As Iāve said before, the new characters Iām running are all about trying something different. With that being said, I guess Iāll drop my rich old moneybags OP8 Sal (aka Fero Krackjowski) down to OP0 and have him buy a Florentine or two for the new kids to play with- just so I can see what it is I donāt like about something Iāve never triedā¦
ā¦never tried the Florentine? If you like Plasma Casters at all, youāre in for a treat.
Also⦠if you have another character (like your gunzerker at OP8) whoās got plenty of Seraph crystals, you can shop for way more Seraph gear than whatās available in UVHM by dropping to TVHM and hitting the same vendors (thereās a much higher weapon selection). That way, your characters that are leveling up can have a nice set (vendor farming is way easier and faster than āactualā farming), for their first jump into UVHM.
What gear is on your list of things to try?
The Florentine is a bit like the infinity to me. The gun itās based on is ā ā ā ā ā ā ā awesome, so there is no way the gun can suck. It can just perform between great and less great depending on your character and build.
For instance, most of the talk in this thread about the Florentine pertains to Maya, but the Florentine is a catalyst Gaigeās wet dream. Its also pretty decent with Zero, who doesnāt have a lot of good SMG options anyway.
Zero, who doesnāt have a lot of good SMG options anyway.
Why not? Coincidentally, neither of my assassins carry manufacturers who produce SMGs, but a Good Touch, Crit, Bad Touch, or Bitch (for example) all have boosted crit damage stats, which he should be able to take advantage of quite well, no?
As I think about it, I may lend one of them the Crit as part of my next exchange program to see this in action.
4 isnāt exactly a lot
.
Right, but I just picked the easy ones there. What about SMGs in general makes them bad with Zer0?
Low damage, most donāt have crit bonuses, most arenāt particularly accurate, and no synergy with OSOK. He doesnāt have a lot of toolkit synergy with them.
My OP8 Sal is maxed out on every bit of currency in the game but the only seraph gear Iāve ever bought is the Antagonist. While Iāve found some of them intriguing, either theyāre something I rarely use (like ARās and MIRV grenades) or the unique or legendary gear theyāre based on just seemed better. Never really used melee shields except for Gaige, Krieg or BAR challenges so no Punchee, no Sponge since Iād already had luck in getting several Shams and since I rarely use ARās never really saw the use in getting a Lead Storm. Iāve loads of gear in the 50-53 level area- itās between levels 54ā60 that I have a drought of good gear and I canāt farm for gear at that level even with the new level 72 only folksā¦
Actually Iād say Zer0 can get a lot of use out of inaccurate guns. Precisi0n may be in the sniping tree but snipers are already accurate so it actually works really well in taming gear like shotguns and SMGs. The damage of SMGs is compensated for by their fire rate which can score a lot of crits.
And as he doesnāt have slag skills, a slag gun isnāt a bad choice. I often use a grenade but Fast Hands makes slag and swap more feasible than with Maya.
This. I use Precisi0n a lot with shotguns and SMGs like the Tattler, Emperor, Actualizer, and the Bane. Also the Bitch just got more accurate.
Same thing can be said for Sandhawk, which is better. Or if you want, the Crit, and Hellfire, and other countless SMGs, including Bone Shredder, or a white Dahl SMG.
I can see this is viable when running co-op. Being the main slagger for the team.
I think thatās not the point of the game. Action skill is one of the most selling points of the Borderlandsā RPG element.
Yes, itās useful, I already said that too.
Same here.
Generally I donāt have, too. But when farming, I want it as fast as possible. That creates a tier list in my head. Though unwritten, the gameās gears has several tiers beyond rarity, in which a pearl gun can go in the trash can, while several common guns have similar power to some rarer guns.
