I mean, you already gave them your money, so…
The drawback to that is missing out on the free events. For those of us who waited for Steam, we already missed the Harvest & Valentines events. I purchased in March, but didn’t play until June, so I also missed the Cartel event. So there is a hidden cost in remaining offline in that the free content has value, even including Golden Keys, when time in-game is currency.
In a perfect world patches & hotfixes would be a menu choice, with online co-op having default settings based on GBX’s desired experience and Friend’s Only, Invite Only, and LAN allowing for game version customization.

Which I am sure was the case as the hot mess called MH2.0 came out at the same time.
The Mayhem 2 issues seemed rather avoidable, too. Mildly annoying, but not unplayable.
…I really don’t understand your logic. I buy game and I have to tip toe around changes made after my purchase. The Mayhem 2 issues were not avoidable for PS4 players other than not downloading the content. All this has been addressed previously though, literally in this same thread. If you are here to just drop out of context shade you will only hurt the conversation. Please be productive with your post and don’t neglect the postings above.
