How is Gal even an option for the word sexist when she’s one of the few armored females not in a metal bikini… this has to be some attempt at trolling right? I am 10,000% positive the balance changes are not made because of gender… and im scared someone even came to that conclusion.

Gearbox and their main game franchises are about as gender neutral as you can get in the games industry atm, yet every game they put out I see the same sexist slander posted on their forums.

It’s odd that many other games that don’t put as much effort into this area as GBX don’t see this kind of stuff and they do. IMO completely unwarranted.

Lol well same can be said for almost every other post on this forum with people wanting nerfs on everything

Well I did put lol you know laugh out loud and also that they are just favoring. The way I put it was if they aren’t being sexist they are just favoring other characters. I could have taken out the second is in the title.

You dont know what sexist is gal and ambra were the 2 most complained and powerful character so they were brought in line there sex has nothing to do with it.
They werent going to leave them alone just because they are female.

Raths ult is manageable. I played a match yesterday where he kept getting owned by a Montana that would lumberjack him out of his ult, manifestation him into the air,a and destroy him. I played as marquis in a match and beat a rath due to the slow bubble letting me escape the ult. survive or evade the ult and he becomes a lot weaker. No need required.

When using Ambra I take her mutation that slams the ground. Solves the rath problem.

Throwing around obviously false claims of ‘sexism’ in passing causes people to become desensitized to the word, ultimately allows for actual and common instances of the practice to be lumped together with anecdotal claims of the times where it was unwarranted.

You know what is sexist? Diminishing a cause that globally entails things as dramatic as mutilations, gendercides, and feoticdes to a joke about an EEO/Inclusion-Advocating company nerfing characters based off of their gender.

For the sheer sake of a dedication to free speech I am going to allow this absolutely bizarre thread to remain open for whatever period of time it takes some one to explain away a global issue affecting millions of lives and slandering hard working members of a professional community for nothing more than a cheap shock.

On the off chance that this is indeed a thread meant to troll, and you’re trying to mock overreactions to mild issues (like the outrageous kneejerk people had over Miss Moxxi). I hope you recognize belittling an actual cause by the lowest common denominator actually makes you a reflection of the same wrongdoing.

Just close this thread I’m not even going to bother anymore.

Thanks, and while we do usually listen to OP requests for thread closures. When it comes at the heels of an outrageous allegation, we do it slightly less so.

So we’ll be leaving it open for so long as we choose, so long as no rules are violated and the topic remains on course.

Thanks yeah I understand it wasn’t going where I thought and people are only reading half of what I put but either way I don’t want to get it out of hand.

I assure you, as a moderator. I read what you said several times and thoroughly and made certain it couldn’t have been a typo.

You implied that Gearbox is either “choosing a favorite character” or “being sexist”, and giving both options equal weight while expressing that Rath had not received appropriate buffs and it was either because he was seen as a poster boy character, or because Gearbox a propensity to oppress women.

Creating a less harsh duality doesn’t amend an insult.

If I made a comment on a politician saying; “He’s either not saying the whole truth, or he may potentially be a serial hitchhiking-murderer” with no evidence to the latter and gave both options equal credit, I’d be getting some pretty angry phone calls.

You made an allegation on an EEO Game Developer of being a lesser part of a varying level scourge which effects over a billion women daily, and could end up costing them as much as life and limb.

So long as people choose to RESPECTFULLY and I stress respectfully disagree with you allegation, I will be leaving this thread open as I think they full understood what you said.

Well I would rather go with the latter and say its because rath is the poster boy noob friendly hero of battle born. HIs difficulty even says easy on it and most people think of him when they think battleborn. Come one hes even the voice of vegeta of dragon ball z hes already cool but that makes him so much better knowing that but still just like galilea everyone has asked for him to be nerfed since the beta and has yet to be touched was the second most complained about thing on here. Yet nothing has been changed his noob ult really isn’t hard just ult a team and pretty much a penty if it did less damage it wouldn’t be so bad or you can nerf the helix like you did galileas where it adds movement speed its only fair you did it to here since they are very similar ults. His is just way more over powered, a really good rath can whipe out a team easy with the right helix build and juggle them or solo targets I could go on and on but that’s what people have made posts in the fourms. So he most be either the poster boy of battle born or there could be a problem not wanting a strong poster girl for battleborn which woulda been ambra and galilea. But they’ve been nerfed and put into place while rath still hasn’t been touched at all. I mostly think its pretty unfair that you listen to the whiners of the community that aren’t as good as most people at the game. That’s why they complain and complain because they keep losing and losing but its not our fault for them losing is it? I could go on and on but really should listen to the different parts of the community not that whinny parts like wow Alani been out a day and see how many people are bithcing about how op she is? Like seriously iv seen 10 plus posts on her to be nerf and my favorite whinner post topic ENTER HERO NAME IS RUINING THE GAME!!! lol like really a character just came out and she’s ruining the game that post has been made about so many other hero’s its rather annoying.

I’m not a huge fan of the repetitive nerfs to Ambra (kinda leaves you with one to two builds that “work” in pvp effectively, at least for me). But, guess they see things differently than players do. Finally got her mastered anyway so not like I’ll be jumping to use her repeatedly lol. Too many others left to do lore for anyway x.x But yeah…I don’t see sexism in it so much as favoritism to specific characters (seriously, Alani is a pain for me anymore -.-). Anyway, just have to cross your fingers and hope Gearbox doesn’t go nerf crazy
*Edit: damn the lore for killing specific characters -.- 25 times when the chance of said characters being played (Ambra cough) is now low thanks to nerfs…hehe oh well…eventually, right?

So you’re telling me Gearbox is… sexist?

CTT Phoebe?
Release day Galilea?
Pre-nerf Ambra?
Thorn?
Melka?
Alani?

Like, all I am seeing is how Gearbox promotes powerful females.
