GearBox weight in on HW1 tactics work around


Hey guys, I’m currently working on finding a way to implement a Homeworld 1 Tactics system to strike craft.

I’ve investigated a number of methods but am consistently blocked by one thing or another. Mainly ideas call for being able to edit attack styles, change which one to use, or call flight maneuvers in custom code, or perhaps even just edit the .ship file info for an active ship on the fly.

I’m aware of a lot of the issues and am sadly beginning to think I’ll have to wait for you guys to do it on your end but I’m looking for any suggestions on how I might be able to get this to work. So really I’m looking for either someone to give me a working idea or for an offical statement on if and when this might be added to the code end.
