II know you were joking. For me I’m good with frame rate so long as it’s smooth. Higher is always better, but I’m perfectly fine with 60. Zero issues.
Yes, my CPU and mother board were the upgraded parts.
I upgraded from an AMD Phenom II x4 965 to an Intel i7 4790K.
I upgraded my mother board to an Intel socket Gigabyte board with support for future CPU chipsets.
The CPU upgrade alone has made a huge impact in games. Specially since more and more games are becoming much more CPU dependent then they used to be.
I will upgrade my graphics card later when I can afford it. My wife got laid off and is currently looking for another job.

Ah. I’m currently running with an AMD Phenom II x6 1045t overclocked to 3.38GHz. Apparently it is a bit more powerful than an AMD FX 8-core at 3.6GHz, so I’m happy with it, as of current. I do want to try breaking 4GHz, though. My GPU is the weak point of my system though, and it’s honestly getting very annoying. 1440x900@75FPS really isn’t much to ask for, but a lot new and old games put a decent strain on my GPU, even like this. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7770, in case you’re wondering. My brother tested a few games for me on his R9 270, to see what performance I’d get with it, and even Skyrim (More heavily modded than mine) got near a perfect 75FPS with few stutters, and shorter than mine, where my GPU was struggling to put out around 45FPS. It may end up that I help him get money for a better GPU and I just get his R9 270, and I wouldn’t really mind that, with how well it performs.

Not install, literally just run it. I’m the kind of person that likes getting the most out of my system, if possible. If I can do it, I will, basically.

Thinking about finally getting real internet and wondered what would be decent for gaming:
The top tier plan I’m looking at is 45 mbps for 65 bucks, while the second is 18 mbps at around 40 bucks. Would there be a drastic difference? I play on consoles.

Well, I get pretty much horrible online play at 20mbps. Take that as you will
Got it installed when I got home from work.
Went from 8gb of DDR3 1600 ram to 16gb DDR3 2400.
Also, being the dork that I am… my old ram was blue in color. Which, didn’t match my black and red Gigabyte mother board.
But, my new ram… is black and red. So, it all matches and looks all sorts of spiffy.
Also helps that loading times, and start up are much quicker. But, you know… priorities. Obviously, color coordination on the inside of my PC is top of the damn list.

Ah. My motherboard, case, and basically everything in my system is black and red. Except my graphics card, it’s black and blue.

I feel like I’m one of the few people who don’t care how the inside of my case looks…
