Give us new content already

Come on, I´m not tying to be condescending or anything, I just have a different opinion. I said that it seems people love to show their anger & dissappointment - And its not an issue of age, really.

I spend money on BB and I´m satisfied since I did research how the game will be. I knew what to expect. Thanks to GBX being quiet open & transparent.
Also I know GBX games and I think its safe to say that they´ll care for their community as well as they´ll care for new content.
The game industry has focussed on adding much content after release in form of DLC, all we gamers need to do is being a bit patient to get it. (Well and spend money of course…)

Who would do this??? I´m an rather anticapitalistic punk, so yeah sure I love that moneymachines.
No I love content, funny thing that. I loved MassEffect for the game, still hate EA and their buissness practices.

If a company throws arround countless overpriced DLCs - people rant.
If a company waits a bit with that and has no microtransactions (BB/GBX) - people rant.
If a company makes F2P-content - people rant (“Stupid PR!” - “I fear for the Company future!”)
If a company sets on a high enter fee /pricetag - people rant.
If a company wants to serve innovative content - people rant.
If a company serves oldschool content in a new dress - people rant.
Thats all I see so far, to elaborate myself in an educated manner.

So if people rant anyway, no matter what is done, I think GBX should do what they like and see fit best. No matter to try pleasing everyone if thats not possible.

No I stated I have played it but I feel it’s lacking pvp content and after so many hours has grown stale. The single player was just a means of gearing up for pvp but beyond that there’s not much point in replaying it. And your argument is completely opiniated and so is mine. So how about you go learn what that means before trying to demand your opinion Is superior just because.

do you feel with the competition it’s facing it will be a thriving community if gearbox doesn’t start adding content soon? Atleast on PC I can’t see that it does thrive like borderlands 2.

No, single player is its own mode that some ONLY play. I only play story private and public and only very occasionally dip into PVP.

I am using fact sir. NOT opinion. Learn the difference.

Grabbing people’s attention? So you’re saying they’re not marketing right, and that’s making them blend in?

God, I really hope that other gamers out there don’t actually make all of their purchase decisions based off of advertising… how droll that would be.

PS, the game doesn’t look like anything else on the market, it doesn’t play like anything else on the market, and it’s structured differently than any other game out.

Standing out is not this game’s problem, I would say the opposite is true. People seem to love OW because it feels like a polish on the crap they’re used to, when you discuss it with them, that’s how it usually boils down. Game modes they’re used to. Gameplay they’re used to, dev they’re used to. Gamers are into safe, repetitive gameplay these days (just look at COD) if anything the learning curve to BB turns off people who aren’t used to both shooters and MOBA’s.

I know my entire shooter-crowd group of friends is struggling with it.

You like single player and feel like there is a ton to do. I like pvp and have found it to become stale after a point. Take your own advice and learn the difference that is a difference of opinion.

Wrong. Again.

The content is THERE no matter what mode you prefer. I knew going in what content was present. You obviously did not.

Either way, there is a TON of content. PERIOD.

25 characters to master either PVP, single player, or both.

Finding PVP stale so quickly is a problem with you, not the content. You haven’t mastered all 25 characters, challenges, etc.

You need to stop. The content is there.

I am done with this. You have issues using logic and I don’t have time for people like that.

I definitely see your point which is why I’m saying gearbox needs to do more if it wishes to pull them from there comfort as you would say. I don’t feel it has that potential as the game stands at this moment. Even reviewers have it meh reviews which really didn’t help things. I think I come off completely different then how I am trying too and that’s my fault I guess.

Okay and the topic of discussion is pvp content so take your superiority complex and go. Everything your trying to ram down my throat I have already discussed earlier. And you trying to force your opinion on me does not add to the discussion in any manner.

Every review I’ve read of it has been horribly done, they all review the PVE aspect, which is really just a bunch of raids.
They all talk about nothing but PVE and then mention multiplayer as an afterthought, with comments that are usually like “oh, yeah, the multiplayer is fun but I didn’t really play it a lot” or something along those lines. The reviews have been a waste of time.

It’s because it has similar graphics to Borderlands, and it’s from the same Dev, so they send their BL loving reviewers at it, who are disappointed that it’s not just like BL. (once again, they like their comfort zone.)

There isn’t anything a dev can do to make people want to stray from their safety net.

If you personally attack me I’ll respond. I’m sure the mods will be here before long.

The topic is CONTENT. Then you went back and changed it after you looked ridiculous. You still do.

Again, LOGIC.

There are 25 characters to use in PVP. Master them all then ask for content.

You need to tone down your anger and focus on your weak argument a little more.

No I considered this a pvp game and changed after people came in stating they were playing it for single player. So I made it more specific to what I was talking about.

At the same time can you not argue that if more effort and content was in pvp it would not have been an afterthought? And I’m not saying there isn’t a lot of effort in it already. But yes it could be more. Or do you believe that would have happened regardless?

Pc didn’t seem like the audience they wanted anyways, the mechanics seem geared to consoles anyways. Also it’s been two weeks and unlike slime companies like bungie or activision, you knew exactly what was coming, they didn’t hide anything. So my only problem is this, knowing exactly what you were getting, why are u complaining two weeks in. As a consumer your being selfish at best and irresponsible at worst.

Let me jump on the this Bandwagon (or Trainwreck) of a thread.

You want more content, after a game has released for two weeks?
The fact that you get bored with 14 levels, is that a problem of you or the game?
League of Legends is by far the most played game right now (look it up, it’s a fact); with only 1 (actually 3, but nobody plays those) map…

I’m sorry, I keep failing to see why you aren’t satisfied right now, even after reading so many arguments you made. (Like Overwatch had more players… which has to be the weirdest argument ever).

I’m sorry Jesse, but the fact that you’re not entertained is your inability to enjoy a game and probably a bit of greediness…

I’m just stating how I felt. I know there are others. And some people may be able to get a lot more enjoyment out of this game. I had an opinion on what would make this game better for me as well as grow the community on PC. I played a lot of hits and dota 2 but never felt the same stale feeling grow in. Did the title garner tons of negative attention I didn’t expect because it was only two weeks out, well yes. But there has been some good discussion amidst people trying to attack one another. I definitely expected a more aggressive strategy on gearbox’s part in terms of content and after release support and what not with overwatch so close on its heels. Maybe not on console but I feel the money I have spent is going to be dead by the end of the month on PC.

I have to agree to this.

I don’t really want to get involved in such a debate, but considering the fact that this game hasn’t even been around for a month, I find any demand for ‘new’ content absurd.
I’m 26 years old, but reading arguments like that makes me feel about 80. It’s just sad.

Also, I see this thread (and others like it) rapidly approaching closure through the mods.

Where did you get the idea that Overwatch is a direct opposition to Battleborn? Why isn’t Uncharted 4 an opposition? Explain this to me, please. Overwatch and Battleborn are so different from one another… Why are you so worked on Overwatch and not other games that recently came out?

I understand with how I worded things people coming so negative to things but it’s my opinion and I’m just stating how I feel and what I feel could make the experience better for me and the dieing community on PC. Everyone seems to have really clung to the two weeks thing but there is a major release only weeks away and I expected more of a battle from gearbox. I thought they would have kicked things into overdrive and really pushed. Which would have been great for the gamers. I can’t change the fact that the game had me feeling bored and felt somewhat stale after my time with it.

Well uncharted isn’t on PC. And most of the conversations on steams forums are people talking about playing both betas and choosing to wait for overwatch as their new shooter ip to dig some time into. And while yes they are very different I’m not saying one is better but people are choosing one over the other instead of buying both. And a lot of PC gamers get very clique with games so it’s unlikely we see those players ever come to battle born or even try it before overwatch comes out. As well as reviewers and twitch players choosing overwatch over battle born. But both are in same release period and are very much going to be competing for player base. And unfortunately on PC battle born is losing badly with a horrendous player base atm.
