I just spent 9 golden keys …and no legendary :smiley: …only purple… on lvl 50, normal game, Mayhem 3.

Well, that’s better by orders of magnitude than getting a Golden Chest full of white items.

Yikes. Never seen white, I did get a few legendary ones throughout my first playthrough. My recent chests have been all purple though with hardly any blue.

Why is your character stuck for? Loot’s only as bad as you make it, plenty of people have full legendary sets at the moment. If your level 15, that doesn’t take a super long time to reach, not uncommon to not have a legendary item yet. I didn’t get my first one until I was level 27 on my character, from non quest rewards. I was about 65% done with the game at that point.

My character was literally “stuck” because of a bug. I was referring to another post I made about that very issue. I ended up fixing it myself, by exploiting couch co-op to unstuck myself.

Now, the rest of my posts are centered around the fact that I got WHITE guns, from a GOLDEN CHEST. You know, one of those super loot chests you have to have a GOLDEN KEY to open?

Yeah, I basically got screwed out of a GOLDEN KEY. You, savvy?

Yep lvl 50 and got 2 whites in one I opened yesterday, was a little disappointed to say the least.

I’ve never had a legendary from any golden key in any of the BL games. In BL3, I’ve always gotten epic loot.

However, I’ve noticed during the past week that loot in normal mode has been weak: greens and whites, with maybe a blue here and there. I felt that loot was pretty good when I first started on release.

I play split-screen with my 9yr old son. Around the day after BL3 release my son got a legendary weapon from the golden key chest. First & last time I’d seen that.

In front of each of the vaults there is a walkign chest. You shoot it a bit and it drops much better loot. And no keys needed.

They nerfed every mode, playing campaign on normal and I got my first legendary drop since Monday today, 15+ hours of gameplay. Played for 2 hours offline before the update was pushed out and had 1 legendary and 4 purples drop.

The drops are random; you’ll naturally get good and bad runs. I’m having similar luck in general gameplay from both before and after the hotfix, but I’m not even out of NVHM yet so I can’t talk about Mayhem mode. Only the drop rates in that mode were adjusted in the hotfix though.

To get your key refunded, so they can look into it and stop it from happening. So it doesn’t happen to me when I get around to using the chest.

Jeebus mate, you would rather scream into the void than try to get this fixed?

I mean, they are pretty common to get at least. I have 15 keys so far, and the game has only been out for less than 2 weeks.

Understand that it is prolly somewhat frustrating… but it’s an RNG based game, there is a chance to get it. No need to get hung up on it, especially since you were level 15, your guns out of that chest will be junk by the time you hit 20, even if they are purple.

Personally, kind of waste to use it at 15 anyways, no matter what you get out of it.

I’ve always only gotten purples from the golden key chest and just assumed that’s how it would work here.

I’ve actually not even needed to use it because I get plenty of dang good drops. I’d be irritated myself if I got whites out of it. Lol.

I just opened golden chest around 6 hours ago and got all purple items.

Just tried one for fun and got only purple too. (lvl 22)
Vending machines material for the most part. Beside 2 grenades as mine while still useful was way underlevel.
Still. One or two “attempt” doesn’t mean anything so I wouldn’t discard OP claim based on it. I would be truly … insulted… to find white gears in the golden chest. It’s already hard enough to find what you are looking for.

While I agree keys shouldn’t be needed in normal mode. One thing I’ve learned over time is they (golden keys) are even a bigger waste at end game. I have 255 keys in BL2.
With all 6(+) characters loaded with legendaries. What good are they for me now?
Better spend them while they can be of some use. They are expendable.

I only had couple car stuck glitches and that it. Granted, I am on the PS4 console and not PC where most of the problems seem to be.
