And what’s wrong with that? If that’s the case, it would be really cool feature for Moze mains to be able to go straight to Mayhem 10.
The fact that there’s 10 levels is to give players options, and if you need to farm new weapons to remain competitive in your mayhem level, action skill damage, melee and pets needs to scale. It would be really dumb on their part if they didn’t.

Relax and wait for the patch notes, then we can riot if necessary lol

I’m going straight into M10 no matter what. If I have to go farm private beans for a set of westerguns so that I can then jump into SS I’ll do that. But I don’t see any reason to farm in M9 or below

Well it’s possible the Mayhem + modifier that comes on weapons might carry over to IB. We just don’t know, because they haven’t told us. It’s not out of the realm of reality when you consider things like 160% splash do carry over.

That said, Mayhem 2.0 sounds like Mayhem 2.ASS to me :frowning:

Also it sounds like the new Anoints like Action skill Start are tied in with temporary content, they didn’t say if they’ll be permanent or in the base game. If they are only in the temp cartel thing, that’s so ■■■■■■.

Hopefully the devs come up with more Iron bear buffs or action skill scaling otherwise Mayhem 10 will be basically a mode for Zane and Amara mains only.

Once they’re in the game, they’ll stay in the game - just like the terror anoints from the first event.

Man, it’s not even out yet and there’s a drama.

Am I a bad person if I’m looking forward to 23th, and the fact that I will play the new content is not the only reason?

I understand that much but my concern is we won’t be able to get them after the event. And if that’s the case then it’s a problem for Moze(and Fl4k aside from R4kk) players who will definitely prefer Action Skill Start instead of Action Skill End.

Nobody is able to use terror builds though anymore because all the gear they were on is now level 50, I think that’s what Kab meant

I’m looking forward to seeing the major moze buffs they kept saying is saved up for the patch… but not much else tbh.

I hate the random modifiers of M3 and will probably hate 2.0 even more (:frowning:

I imagine it will rotate with the other events, so it will become available again.

No it doesn’t make you a bad person just a person with different likes and opinions then those of us who don’t like gameplay based on random modifiers.

Is it 100% confirmed there will be more Moze/Iron Bear buffs in the Patch tomorrow?

No, but they said in last 2 hot fixes that they have been looking hard at moze and some of the changes will have to be done via a patch only.

I’m hoping that means thursdays patch…

I love when people Doomsday and just naturally assume the worst…I highly doubt that IB wont scale in some capacity. He was useless for like 2 months when BL3 released…I doubt GB wants to go back to that.

I dunno how people can live life that. Constantly overreacting to things must be so tiring.

If it gives me something to do endgame, I’m keen.

It also means that likely only vanilla weapons will be able to receive the anointment - aka no DLC weapons, no Takedown exclusive drops etc. Its honestly really weird they didn’t attach the new anointments to Mayhem 2.0 - let’s hope the worst possible outcome doesn’t happen here, but given GB track record, I’m not exactly getting my hopes up.

I generally agree with your sentiments because I think that Gearbox is getting much better about balancing if the recent changes to Iron Bear are any indication.

That said, I do think that people have a plethora historical evidence to make the educated guess that pets, non-gun action skills, and ranked damage won’t scale properly at end game. This is, after all, the third game in a row out of four where it’s been a problem.

A part of me would like to add fuel to the fire and hope it reaches developer ears and guarantee that they preemptively balance the action skills.

BL2 had scaling issues at first but after a later patch that fixed a bunch of skills for all the VHs. They scaled with the OP levels. Maya’s Cloud Kill is a good example of this. It went from a useless skill after level 40 to being able to kill loaders in OP8. With each new OP level the damage from Cloud Kill was stronger. So this concept of scaling action skills isn’t new.

It is a concern to think about, but it’s kind of pointless to be so negative about it right now. We won’t know until tomorrow. They likely can’t change anything for tomorrows patch until a following patch or perhaps a hotfix.

This is another reason I want a ‘level up your gear’ function/machine. So that as new level caps come out, we can upgrade old gear. Yes it would come at a cost and be pricy enough that you wouldn’t just level up every level 50 item you have.
