Not sure if this is the way it is intended to work or if it is a bug but the following happened to me:
-Day 0: I beat the main campaign clearing all the main and side missions (not really in a single day).
-Day 1: I began the Moxxi DLC, took the Proof yourself mission at level 40, and beat Hell-burbia. Did not play the game anymore after that point.
-Day 2:I helped a friend through the whole “Proof yourself” mission. He was low level (13) and he just wanted to get the skill point from the DLC so I joined his game so that enemies were low level. We beat the 3 arenas Hell-burbia, The Angelic Ruins and The Gully. I collected the reward for the “Proof yourself” mission in the panel and was awarded 1 skill point. I believed this was not supposed to happen due to the level difference between my friend and me and the fact that he had not beaten the main game and I did.
-Day 3: When I loaded my game the progress of the “Proof yourself” mission was still in it original state from Day 1 (just Hell-burbia cleared). I beat the other 2 arenas ( The Angelic Ruins and The Gully) on my own and when I collected the reward for the “Proof yourself” mission in the panel I was awarded 1 skill point AGAIN.
So now I am level 40 and have a total of 38 skill points since I have been awarded the skill point of “Proof yourself” twice.
My question here is: I this some bug or is it the way it is intended to be ?(I think it’s not but perhaps something has been changed in the Enhanced edition of Borderlands GOTY).

You can get two points from this DLC, one from PT1, and second at PT2. Did you completed this both times in the same playthrough?
Yes, I got both skills point while in PT1.
I am level 40 and I haven’t begun PT2 yet (I wanted to beat the 4 DLCs first).
