Green screen when trying to stream to laptop

I am trying to stream the game on steam to my laptop and I get a green screen. I have tried changing the resolution and windowed mode, as well as disabling hardware encoding. Anyone way to get around this?

This happened for me while doing Steam Broadcasting.

When I used Twitch, all was well.

Is there something you guys can think of or should we go through Steam support? Any assistance in getting the steam streaming to work would be fantastic.

Certain capture methods just dislike our buffer setup methods… does it fly in a Window? It’s nothing that Steam can really help with, unfortunately. If you turn off all post-proc (and AA) - the buffer layout may be simple enough that the stream works?

I may make another pass at this - but really it is not a ‘quick patch’ task.

Hi Guys,

I’ve finally found a fix for this problem, at least for me.

Go in your steam big picture settings, in-home streaming, advanced host options, and tick prefer NVFBC capture method.

Also make sure steam overlay and broadcasting are disabled.

Voila! Finally Homeworld on the TV.

Spread the word!
