Ground slam suggestion

I think they’d like some sort of reason for the player to be capable of double jumping, the flimsiest of reasons would do. Maybe instead, make it where if you hold the jump button for a second longer, you jump 1.25-1.5 times higher, and make just below that the height required for a ground slam.

If double jump is going to be slam artifact exclusive, all my characters will be armed with that. It’s quite addictive.

I think instead of making double jump exclusive to just artifacts that affect ground slam, they would just add double jump as a general feature then. That’s why I mentioned just holding the jump button for a second longer to jump a bit higher.

The only time I use my slam is when in skywell 27. The low gravity makes it use able.

Some of the slide artifacts make you slide faster and/or farther, with no “reason” given. So I don’t see how adding double jump to slam artifacts is somehow way out of place within the context of the rest of the game.

Your idea of holding the jump button longer is fine though. The only potential problem I can think of with that - and double jump as well - is being able to access areas of the world that you couldn’t get to before, which might cause you to get stuck or bug out in some way. They would have to take the time to find all those places and create additional barriers or invisible walls.

That’s a good point, but hopefully there wouldn’t be too many if the height increase is about 25% of the original jump. That is a bit of an increase though.
