I put in that the Sheriff’s and Deputy’s Badges are not as good as a accuracy recovering, recoil reduction allegiance relic, especially if using more than one Jakobs weapon.
Yes, in that very specific circumstance, I agree. There probably are others too. Overall though, unless you have a very specific setup and plan, a Deputy’s badge should be your first consideration if you are mainly using a Jakobs shotty
Of course, if you are going for a full Jakobs loadout, an Allegiance relic is the better deal
I love the Mag size and recoil reduction. That Mag size is huge on shotguns but also really nice on AR’s and Snipers
@Derch I have never been a fan of magazine size. Maya has very fast reload speed which dissolves what issue reloading is with Jakobs firearms. The accuracy recovery and recoil reduction I find to be superior. In regards to ammo hogs like the Twister and Hydra I can see the magazine size being a major help.
The magsize increase is a pretty significant factor when you have 10/5 on Two Fang (Zer0), on Jakobs AR and Pistols.
A common AI behavior in the game is to duck and weave when you ADS on them with guns like Maggie and Bekah, so there are times you are hitting nothing by air—having that extra magsize esures you kill a enemy–even with some missing shots…then you go for the reload after the kill for Zer0’s kill skill reload speed buff.
I usually go for Magsize + Recoil reduction, I don’t feel like I need the accuracy recovery as much.
Pretty fun to read DT, great thread!
Thanks X, glad you enjoyed it.
@Abvex I am not that familar with Zer0 as I have never leveled him up. What I know is from what I have read and watched and not from personal experience with which is why it may be a bit lacking in this guide.
Don’t sweat it, it is a good guide regardless.
Good job on the Guide! Does anyone know what the preferred prefix is for the Law when used with melee focused Krieg or Zer0? I know the weapon always has the melee attachment. IIRC, a Jakobs grip will give the “Ornery” prefix but I am not sure if that is the preferred prefix for the two aforementioned characters (since I don’t really play either).

Great job dude. Just a quick fyi, the Triquetra has more pellets than the Twister. And some random grammatical errors (or miss wordings) and color coding errors. My favorite gun happens to be the “Elephant Gunt” jk.
This is all just meant to help the guide, hopefully it didn’t come off rude.
@Poisd2Strike unlike the Rapier the melee attachment on the Law is its only attachment. Where the Rapier can have the mandatory blade and a prefix (other attachment).
If you’re going to shoot it, use a Jakobs grip. Otherwise it doesn’t matter because, as khimerakiller said, the Law can only have the melee attachment and no other. A melee K doesn’t really need the Law, though, since he puts away all of his weaponry when he rages. Zer0 can put it to good use, though, especially with an Order shield.
[edit]: You’re making me want to do one of these for Torgue weapons, Trouble. You bastard!
Good work on this though.
Glad I am inspiring you and thank you. I am still editing this and working out the kinks.
Amazing job, Troubled!
Thank you.
Just done reading about the ROM.
May I suggest that you could add that the Mechromancer completely nullifies the downside of it by using BSS? It is powerfull enough that it makes one of a hell potent shotgun in her hands, even moreso with higher Anarchy since CE compensates for the accuract loss.
That said, I am looking forward to trying to see if I can gett the Unforgiven to work on her.
And that aside, I really like this guide.
Thanks I will be sure to update that. I forgot about Blood Soaked Shields.
No point in using the ROM with high Anarchy: the ROM’s strength is that it maintains great accuracy with damage approaching what a Quad outputs. At high Anarchy this accuracy dissapears and a Quad becomes just plain better. More so since you are free to use another accessory on the Quad like Doc’s. Also, since the pellet count is so low at 4, bad RNG can result in none of the pellets ricocheting, while a Quad will be much closer to average every time.
Depends on what you consider high anarchy.
I personally have don’t think that 150/200 stacks hurt that much, considering that for her it is used on close/medium close range.
Shouldn’t both be expected to converge equally toward their expected values (number_of_pellets * probability_of_ricochet in this case)?
The bigger the sample size the more reliable it will be is what he is saying.
