Well I guess the decision is still split guess I’ll add the BBB to top gear and purple tediore shields to HM
Evo = maliwan body, maliwan battery and hyperion capacitor.
86% Resistance and a boatload of additional Health. Not sure on Neo but I assume same…
Thanks I know my gun parts but shield parts I have no clue about.
I must mention that in the OP levels…Evo/Neo are far outclassed by Blockades and Antagonists.
GREAT shields up tp about 61 though.
Idk I like me a good evo on any level not sure about the neo tho.
Just for whoever voted for sham HM you may not have known what I meant but that option mean BBB doesnt even make the list
Resistance is pretty good…just don’t count on the Health Rebuild.
Blockades overall resistance is better in my experience as the evo’s resistance is conditional on last element
Last night I took the Cobra, Volcano, Storm, and Longbow for a spin inside of Bloodshot Stronghold.
Expert Grenadier build, 11/5 in steady, 10/5 impact, +47% Grenade Damage.
Antagonist, Bone / Explosive relic, Magic Missiles
Cobra - (Not sure if I was correct in assuming an explosive relic actually does anything to the damage, but I put it on anyway. I may have needed to use a Jakobs allegiance relic here.) What you get is a slow firing sniper with some splash. If you encounter a badass, you are better hit them square in the face to do any meaningful damage on OP 8. Otherwise they will regen right over it. It does fine against the Psychos and Bruisers, but as soon as an Armored Psycho, Badass Psycho, or Badass Nomad shows up, you better hide. I enjoy using the cobra, I think its a fun weapon. Not good enough to be Top Gear, and not situational enough to be an HM at all.
Volcano - Had an easy time picking enemies off and lighting them up. All things considered, I survived further than with the cobra. Once Mad Mike showed up, I ran out of ammo and ended up scrambling a lot. This made it hard for me to consider it TG. HM? Have it against a bunch of fleshy targets and you will have a heyday. Once you slag, a critical will one shot and burn most baddies up. I would say its an HM for the purpose of being a sniper that is super easy to use. You are not required to get a critical, but when you do hit the mark it is very nice. Not the numbers you might be getting from a Pimpernell at all, but is well worth an HM against FLESH.
Storm - Can’t really say I had an easy time killing anything with this. Its more like a sniper rifle that shoots grenades. Its fine for stripping shields but I didn’t get very far in Bloodshot before running out of ammo to kill anything with. I could see it being useful for taking a large cluster of enemy shields out, then swapping to a fire weapon or swordsplosion etc… but in these same scenarios, a simple quazar or stormfront would do the job better. No TG, no HM.
Longbow - Does this gun have splash damage? I may have been wrong to assume it did since we were talking about other snipers with splash but I gave this one a test anyway. It is a CRIT-MONSTER. You really have to love aiming down sight, and you really need to be good at landing crits with its strange trajectory. Once slagged, I was one-shotting baddass nomads and bruisers without too much trouble… but its hard to get the hang of. This gun does work if you can hit the crit spot, but unless it actually gets ANY splash damage, I see no need to mention this as TG for Axton, anyway. Maybe an HM, imo. It is a good sniper on anyone you put it on, just nothing makes it special on Axton.
I use them both. I like to switch my gear up often.
Ok thanks for testing them I guess me and holey have some reformatting to do.
The longbow does not have splash but just high base damage, high critical hit extra 50% beyond other Hyperion snipers, and high accuracy if you can get the curve down.
I know its good on most and doesn’t have any particular synergy with Axton but it does love all of axton’s base damage increases and its well beyond most snipers.
The fire rate is a bit slow with it so it will like his fire rate buffs on bigger enemies, smaller ones just die in one shot anyways.
I don’t see why it couldn’t be HM (just recorded my maya run with it and I would be willing to do an axton video if anyone wanted just because I love using this gun)
I can not see a reason to not add the Longbow as TG. There isnt a sniper that really synergyze with Axton anyway, so list the best ones you can find.
well i mean its no pimp/ lyuda level not TG imo. Fire only is one thing, but no real synergy aside from being a generally good weapon is another.
The Storm is now awesome on Gaige. You’re right as far as Axton is concerned though, there’s nothing about it that would make it TG or HM specifically on Axton.
There was a potential to make it awesome with GrD, but since the GrD boostable portions are 5 intstances of 10% of the base damage that can all miss, it makes sense that it wouldn’t be as good, just wanted to see it tested as it did benefit from grenade damage.
That’s why only the Lyuda and the Pimpernel are top gear. Those are the best you can find. You’re better off with either of them than with the Longbow and the Longbow is incendiary only. There are other element locked weapons listed as top gear, but all of them will get grenade damage boosts. The Longbow won’t. For all of those reasons, I say it should stay a HM.
Well, let the Longbow, Sloth and Volcano/Snider as HM and the Pimpernel/Lyuuda as TG. No problem, really.
Yep I agree I won’t be doing any editing because I have a busy few days ahead but hoyle4 should be working on the Google doc. I can still comment and things like that tho.
