Just doing some formatting now, Which Rangers are Good? From Looking at it I would Guess

True Neutral (Huge Mag Boost)
Chaotic Evil (FR and Crit)
Neutral Good (Mag Size and Reload)
Maybe Chaotic Neutral (Mag + FR) and/or Chaotic Good (FR + Reload)

But I’m more concerned about the Skills, I know you’d probably want a blue because most builds will never get both Grit and Ranger, but Is Impact always the +5 Skill?

Yeah I agree with your post. How are you doing the TT comes. Sperate entrys for each one or one big entry giving info as to why each one is good

Pistols:

I’d make the Hornet and Teapot a HM (or at least the Teapot) and add the Umbrage and Pocket Rocket as HM.

Shotguns:

Not sure if the Hulk should be on here. Also I would defenitely put the Interfacer as TG and the Carnage as HM.

Sniper Rifles:

The Hawkeye could be added as a HM.

Assault Rifles:

I’d defenitely make the Bekah TG and I’m not sure if the Minigun should be added, but if so I’d also add the Spitter and Gatling Gun.

Submachine Guns:

I would make the Avenger TG because it’s a boss killing tool and for bosses you usually want to equip the Bee and with the Bee it’s just gonna wreck everything. Also not sure about the Lascaux.

Grenade Mods:

I think the Chain Lightning should be HM and the Meteor Shower TG. Also the Fire Bee is TG and the Crossfire HM worthy.

Shields:

The Sham could be TG. I’d also add purple Turtle shields as HM as well as the Black Hole.

Class Mods:

The Grenadier defenitely needs to be TG. The Leg. Engineer could be HM as I think it’s simply outperformed by the Soldier and the Veteran COM should also be HM as well as the Rifleman.

Relics:

The Torgue allegiance relic should be HM.

Feel free to ask if you want any reasoning for my thoughts.

First of all, Thanks for this, an axton thread wouldn’t be the same without ya :stuck_out_tongue:

Alot of the stuff you’re saying about Relics and COMs has been/is being implemented in the most recent edit, as the current OP was kinda just a skeleton for those two sections.

As for the other stuff, you bring up some.valid points for discussion. @johnrr6, @afro_samurai, @triad_thunder

True Neutral is the highest damaging COM for chucking, just equip it and a Tediore Allegiance relic.
Chaotic Evil is really good for scoring critical hits.
Both Neutral Good and Neutral Evil are good for Tediore Hybrids as they add some DPS when you shot. You wont chucking everytime, so it is nice to have some DPS boost coming from Impact and the card fire rate/critical hit.
The Veteran is a good COM for chucking fast bosses, but it isnt so effective when you mob as it wont boost DPS outside of chucking. Swap to it when you reach a mini boss, boss or even when facing Raid bosses.
Chaotic Good isnt a good version for Axton. You are better with a Legendary Soldier for fire rate/reload speed and some more nice things.

About the skills, it doesnt hurt to pick a purple if you are going down the Gunpowder tree. 5% boost for 1 point is a nice thing in my opinion.
If you are running a regular 26/15/26 setup, forget about Ranger.

Oh yes - been there, done that, too embarrassed to wear the t-shirt! Leg. Ranger on a 26/15/26 is not exactly a great experience…

Im actually talking about the skill for the Ranger COM. :sweat_smile:
If you spec into Gunpowder, it is a good idea to pick a purple one with +5 Grit, +4 Ranger/Impact.
If you run a 26/15/26 setup, get a blue one with Grit and Impact.

I think the Umbrage and Pocket Rocket dont have a place, even among HM. The Teapot can be removed imo but the Hornet is TG for sure.

Also, the Ogre is in the list so there is no place for the Spitter. Same for the Gatling Gun: if I have to pick a non-elemental gun, it would be the Bekah for sure.
The Minigun is in because it can come in all elements I guess, but I dont mind if it gets removed.

And good catch on the Lascaux. I never though it was an amazing gun.

Not an amazing gun, just amazingly easy to acquire for grinding levels.

The basic write up is done along with the formatting. Changes will be made based on demonites opionions If we can come to an agreement. Also video links will be added later.

I agree with what you say about shields and grenades. Why should the hornet be an HM and teapot removed? Hornet is the best corrosive pistol and one of the best corrosive guns in the game. As for the teapot it’s a great gun easier to get than the hornet and is also boosted by grenade damage.

Shotguns the hulk is only slightly weaker than the ravenger but takes less ammo so they should equal out (May need to be tested) the interfacer is only for raidng and we really wanted to only make guns that are good all purpose guns Top gear. Also I didn’t think the carnage was boosted by grenade damage.

For the avenger same as the interfacer

And the class mod and relic sections are now done.

Also what makes the hawk eye so special on Axton.

I can look at grenades again, Fire Bee and SF can share a spot for the most part both solid AOE Grenades.

Yeah I would do what demonite suggested and than add the fire bee with the Strom front in the HM section.

The Hornet is really nice indeed, but it’s still much less efficient than the Ladyfist or DPUH so I feel like it could be HM. It’s also locked on one element. But it can stay TG, that’s just my opinion. I don’t think the Teapot should be removed, but it should be HM. Yeah it’s easy to get but it’s just inferior to all other TG pistols in every single way and also elemental locked.

The Hulk only consumes one less ammo and doesn’t get a matching barrel bonus so I don’t think it’s worth mentioning tbh, especially not as TG. The Interfacer is excellent for mobbing and normal bosses as well, it’s just a bit heavy on ammo. And if the Gunerang is TG the Avenger should be too. Also yeah the Carnage doesn’t get boosted by grenade damage, but that doesn’t mean it’s not viable. I think if the CC, Butcher and Heart Breaker (which all don’t have grenade splash as well) are mentioned it needs to be too.

The Hawkeye is good on him because he can make great use out of high crit multipliers, because he doesn’t have much crit bonuses to begin with but a lot of gun damage boosts instead.

I pretty much treat the two as a pair: Hornet/Teapot. They’re pretty good on everyone except Sal due to the burst fire. I’d rather have a Hornet or Teapot against a Buzzard than any other corrosive pistol, for example. A type 2 corrosive fibber (redundant or not) will do more more damage if you get the bounce right, but you can’t do that against airborne enemies, and farming the right one can be a real pain. For mobbing, I always have one in my inventory, even if it’s not in one of the equipped slots.

I think we will most likely leave pistols how they are
The hulk will proabley get removed
I’ll ask the other if they think the avenger is top gear
The carnage may replace the Hyperion shotgun or just get a new entry will have to ask the others
The hawk eye idk again need to ask the others

I think they’re listed together just because they’re very similar. If we were to separate them, I think the Hornet should be TG (even though it’s element locked) and the Teapot should be HM.

I kinda agree with this, to be honest.

I think top gear should be usable in almost every scenario. The Avenger’s usefulness is kinda limited to raiding, so it’s HM to me.

I also agree with this, now that I had more time to think about it.

If we’re adding gear for leveling and not just endgame gear, then I wanna once again suggest purple Tediore shields as HM. However, I think we should keep this list focused on endgame gear.
