[Guide] Top Gear for Nisha

In reality the Mining Laser should get the boot. Yes it has a lot of synergy, but you can’t tell me it’s not the weakest link. I only challenged the Rosie’s place yesterday because I felt so betrayed and let down. But in the end I don’t mind which one of them goes.

The bigger point it what does the blaster do? Vanilla DPS. Does it do that better than the current vanilla dps weapons in the Laser Category? Maybe… but you need to understand that this thread isn’t purely Vanilla DPS weapons.

if we judge solely on vanilla DPS this entire thread is completely different (Hell i’d be able to generalize every TG into a spreadsheet). I’d figure that you’d have this point down by now.

Ok you can make your point for the Mining Laser then if you’d like. But don’t just say because it synergizes with her skill set. Because so does something like the Cat O’ Nine Tails and its a piece of trash for the most part. If the gun can’t preform up to snuff, then it doesn’t deserve to be on the list synergy or not.

Hellfire

No…

Regarding Mining Laser, It’s primarily a utility gun you use to freeze, things like trick shot let it freeze a buncha stuff all at once. My main point is there’s no need putting 6 vanilla DPS guns, especially when you’re removing a non-dps gun to add another one It’s like taking off the T4s-R fo put something like a Bandit Pistol on because it does more Damage.

I said I was fine with the Rosie taking the boot. 3 and 1/2 mags is ridiculous by comparison to a purple’s <1/2 mag. Plus it’s less than favorable performance outside of Showdown.

It can stay but I’ll just say I never really found it to be a good utility weapon. The Fridgia and to a lesser extent the T4s-r (since pistol ammo is valuable) have been my go to on everyone, and a Thinking for Athena. It is just a clunky gun and that fixed spread really screws itself over. Nisha fixes these things, but I’d still always pick the Fridgia. I know we are suppose to say within weapon classes, but I think since they’re utility weapons its fine.

frigidia also shreds with the CoE, mind you.
on another note, TG (to me) is DPS and utility. the Rosie is definitely not a utility weapon, and if its beaten by another DPS weapon that also is more usable (keep in mind the audience we are trying to appeal to), maybe we should consider it.
mining laser, on the other hand, is great for utility as a freeze tool, especially with a laser centered build. (even though i prefer frigidia, but to each his own)

In my mind, the Rosie was already the weakest link and I almost removed it last time, I don’t mind the changes proposed at all.

A blaster with a Yellow glitch can clear long mobbing maps without spending a single bullet, so it HAS utility in a sense.

The Mining laser is there mostly for its freeze chance, crit and penetration, and that didn’t change, so I’d rather have it stay.

Sick…dude! Very nice. Thank you.

I only suggested the Mining Laser because I though it was classified as a DPS weapon, as I never found it to be that good of a cryo tool by comparison. But if you guys like it I’m fine with it, and I retract some of the stuff I said as it was made under my false impression.

So I’m now 100% on booting the Rosie instead.

Any chance you can post a comparison vid showing the Mining Laser? That would help put things in perspective visually, imo.

Don’t get me wrong it can kill stuff (if it’s in cryo that is), I just felt like it was the slowest in that regard. And when I was in the basin with the arches and I could get the penetration to line up so TS could proc, it preformed great. But it is still the slowest, cryo reliant, and in that short run I used 851 rounds of my 1340 round ammo pool.

This isn’t meant to change anything, I only did it because Kurt asked. As it has it’s place as a Utility weapon.

You really know how to make a guy feel special.

All joking aside, nice vid. Thank you. I actually liked the Blaster performance more. Both do very well, imo. I just like the L4 glitch. Loop glitch is so nice.

If anyone feels like writing an entry for the blaster, I’ll edit the OP with it

Impressive video. This made me wanna play Nisha again after a long break.

Very low recoil which makes target acquisition easy even outside of showdown. A decent base damage in combination with a very high Continuous Damage Bonus at 210% makes it hit really hard once Nisha ramps up the fire rate. Add in really good stats everywhere else and ricochet synergy for Trick Shot and The Unforgiven, and you’ve got yourself a hell of a gun.

I really wasn’t planning on doing this write up, but since no one else stepped up… Its not the best so you can modify it if you think it could be worded better.

It’s good enough for me. What about parts ? Maliwan grip, any stock ? Cryo seems like the best element here since it’s mostly a mobbing weapon.
Loop glitch is a must IMO.

You didn’t do stocks for any of other lasers, but I guess Dahl would be the best if you do it?

doesn’t Hyperion stock give 10% crit damage or is that only on Hyperion lasers?
(i would have written it up, but i have never really used it)
also, loop and green, personal preference.

I think that’s Hyperion only, but I’ve never tested it on other manufacturers. If I have time when I get back from class I’ll test it. Or if you have time you could test it.
