[Guide] Top Gear for Nisha

I asked for diversity in the hopes of discovering something new and exciting. That doesn’t mean that I will put everything suggested in the OP.

The Droog was a great suggestion, and well worth spending some time testing it out.
But if it can’t deal with mobs without running out of ammo, nor kill the raids without running out of ammo, then the situations where it shines are really limited. The Pitchfork can’t mob at all, even less than the Droog…but it can kill ANY boss in the game with its ammo supply, raid or not.

Based on that, I would rather include the development than the Droog (as you proved the development can kill any boss with ease)

The Striker is there for its mobbing abilities. It can reliably mob with spending less ammo and fits better to a methodical playing style than the Flayer. That’s why it’s there.

The Droog can kill mini bosses better than the pitchfork that’s true, but it can’t mob or kill raids.

A mobbing gun is a mobbing gun, and if it can do mini bosses, that’s even better. But a bossing gun should be able to kill bosses…all of them.

So the Pitchfork gets the spot for being better than the Droog in 1 fight?

Back to the Athena TG you all repeatedly said not to compare outside of weapon classes. So the fact she has other options is besides the point, the Droog is her best boss sniper for all but 1 fight.

A question about the the last line. What is the Pitchfork to you then?

I just feel that being able to do 1 fight better does really warrant that the Pitckfork stays and the Droog goes.

I don’t find that ammo is truly an issue w/ the flayer b/c how the game works. And at least to me the “methodical” play style on Nisha is niche, while not Bomber niche its still niche non the less.

The Pitchfork can’t kill the Sentinel I bet. The Droog can’t kill 2 fights, but all the rest the Droog preforms better.

(And yes I basically said the same thing over and over)

No the Pitchfork is good on all boss fights, the Droog is not.

Thats what I meant by nuance, sometimes you do sometimes you don’t. It’s not black and white. The meat grinder is the best boss smg sure but it not great on mobbing and there are better options for bosses. So you have to compare it to the class of guns its in, smgs, but also if its a niche use do you need it as a niche.

One of her best boss guns.

Its the fact that it can do any boss consistently that’s important.

The Pitchfork can’t do the Sentinel, and all of the other bosses die in one Droog mag so it is 100% consistent just like the Pitchfork.

So Eclipse and EOS is the only place the Pitchfork is more consistent. But with the rest the Droog preforms better.

But the thing is its not.

This is how I use to use niche, but @Chuck80 said other wise. And the MG is her best boss SMG, but I agree and have agreed it doesn’t deserve the spot for that if you all feel if doesn’t preform well in mobbing. I haven’t pushed for that gun since the showcase, I only bring it up to mess w/ people w/ no intention of it being added.

The I don’t see why you don’t consider the Droog one also. Did you watch the comparison on Deadlift? And I’m more on less sure I could do the same with any repeatable boss (I’m not starting a new play through for this). The only fight the Pitchfork wins is the Eclipse/EOS one.

Based on what ?

How can you affirm how many people are playing one style and how many are playing another ?

The only evidence we have is people making youtube videos… and they are disproportionately likely to have a frantic visually-interesting playstyle. What people do in their living room is hard to gauge.

This TG is meant for everyone, not just elite players.

Quoting that part because it sums up the rest well

Yes, I get what you mean. But think about it: If I put it in the TG saying “yes, this is a great gun to take down bosses…except the 2 hardest ones” …what does it amount to then ?

It’s not like there are 50 bosses in the game… there are about 15, and this gun, which we would put in there specifically for bosses, …can’t deal with the 2 hardest ones…

I mean I do consider it a good bossing weapon on Athena, cuz Athena can make it not consume ammo

Who cares about gun being good on deadlift? Nisha should be able to wreck him with just about everything.

But one of my points is that the Pitchfork can’t deal with one of those either.

The point was the power difference which can be applied to all but the 1 “raid”.

Which one ???

The same can be said for the Bomder too.

The Invincible Sentinel more than likely.

The Pitchfork can totally take the Sentinel

You’re telling me it will take down all 7 phases including the one that resist shock damage without any ammo problems what so ever?

droog won’t either in that case.

I already said that. That is why I said the Pitchfork is better for literally 1 fight. I’ve said all this stuff already.

No
If you try to take on the shock resistant phase with a shock pitchfork, you’re purposefully trying to prove that it can’t.

The Sentinel is a weird case as whatever element you use will have a phase that resist it. Coupled with a shield and a Health bar, most people will switch gun during that fight.

The Sentinel also has a constant stream of ammo drops coupled with long wait times between phases where there is nothing to do beside pick them up.

Come to think of it… the only Boss where ammo is a real issue is Eos/Eclipse

It’s the only fight that matters though, it’s like the only fight where you would care enough to bring a bossing weapon. NIsha’s mobbing gear can easily clean up fear and self loathing or deadlift or bosun or whatever. PItch can also take those out too, it really doesn’t matter if the droog can do it slightly faster with a pre-rolled green in that case.

I mean that a shock, fire, and non-elemental Pitchfork won’t be able to take down the Sentinel w/out ammo issues.

No matter how many ammo drops you pick up, you are going to run out mid phase.

He has like 3 dozen ammo boxes and half of them regen. Along with 4 different phases to get ammo. Your argument doesn’t make sense.

So the Pitchfork makes it for 1 fight?
