Wonder if best buys will take back open games if there this broken, I feel like such a chump buying this busted ass game. Thanks gearbox, getting release tips from ubisoft now?

I had the same problem with the Resident Evil Remaster too Spaghettyhoop. It indeed might be a problem with xb1 OS that devs overlook when they make their games.
It looks like though that a few things affect the glitch but its hard to pin point where it lies exactly.
The playing a 60 fps game thing worked ty man
Just logged on tonight to play and the glitch was back, booted into rayman for a few seconds then straight back into bl2 and it fixed it first time. Might be a fluke but hope it helps people as a temp fix, even though itās far from ideal!

A patch for BL2 has releases but it doesnāt address anything except some save sync problems. Still hoping they are working on a patch for this problem.
Well this is awesome. I was coming here to see if there was topics about the patch that came out today CAUSING this. I never had this issueā¦it worked just fine for me. Then today I download that patch and go into the game and the framrate is AWFUL.
Exact same boat as you. I have had FPS issues with the game since release(mostly in-game menu related), but after todays update, the game is literally unplayable. My FPS is consistently low to the point where im just dying over and over again. I have tried doing a hard reset, but nothing seems to help. All of my other games are running just fine.

Not just that, but once the inventory/vending machine thing hits you, the game actually looks graphically on par with the 360 game. Sometimes when i switch it on I know Iām not gonna be affected by the slowdown because the graphics look really good and polished.
Find it hard to believe this wasnāt noticed before release.

Another method that you could which ivāe done several times, and has worked and other people have done. Go the character screen on bl2 (The main one where you go into the game) then turn off your Xbox (It just goes to sleep mode). Then 10 min later turn it back on go back to bl2 and should be much more stable. hope it works.

I have tried playing Rayman then swapping to BL2 it worked for a few minutes. I am only having problems while in multiplayer it seems to work fine while playing on my own or split screen. Theproblem is that I only brought this to play with others.
Yeah Rayman fix doesnt really work for me either. Really Wanna play the pre-sequel but the screen tearing and framerate drop is so bad itās hard to enjoy it!
If you play 3 or 4 player split screen it drops to 30fps by design, it canāt handle 60 in that respect. A lot of multiplayer games do his, mario kart 8 for example.
I donāt know if thatās what you meant by multi player like, apologies if you didnāt mean on one console.
That rayman fix only seems to have an effect on the bl2 framerate issue, he pre sequel issues are a different problem.
This entire thread is for BL2. We encountered a glitch that hugely impacts the framerate to unplayable levels. This is NOT FOR PRESEQUEL that is an entirely seperate problem.
The game is supposed to run at 60fps for 1-2 players and 30fps for 3-4 players same with presequel.
But all of our fixes we discover are for BORDERLANDS 2 ONLY. Its a rare glitch we are experiencing.
Well either way, i hope they can fix it for both games!

I hate seeing it rot away when I could be playing it right now instead of Call Of Duty and Destinyā¦We havenāt even got a confirmation of when this patch is estimated to go live. Ok so I have the same problem. My frame rate is really slow and tried everything you guys can think of. I even bought another game. Please I need help because Iām not experiencing the smooth gameplay for the XB1. We need an update for this please.
