Yep! All the manufacturers do. I think if you make 100 kills with their brand they send you something. Jacobs, Dahl and Hyperion have all sent me good purple gear. Sometimes you only get green gear though. Still not bad if you need higher level guns. I have been using more Jacobs guns latley in the hope that I get sent a nice masher revolver. Hopefully with a melee attachment haha.
I agree. In BL2 i rarely used shotguns except flakker and rustler’s orphan maker on certain Sal builds, but i’m finding that Digiclone Zane requires playing “up close and personal” with enemies, and shotguns are great for that.
The DOOM shotgun - I’m still destroying things with & haven’t unequipped it for 10 levels now (I’m lvl 45)

Since creating this thread I’ve found a number of excellent shotguns. As a fade away Fl4k main, I’ve found jakobs shotguns amazing with leave no trace, you can just fire shot after shot after shot.
Have a lvl 50 Flaker that destroys trash mobs in 1 shot and shield AI in 2-3 shots 
I’m level 16, and I’ve found two really GOOD shotguns. One had a high rate of fire and insane damage. The other has low damage, but insane splash damage. It’s a great area-of-effect weapon. The shells also arc like grenades, so you can hit people crouching behind cover.
Hosts are completely broken, I got a fire Hostile Developing Host that is level 33 and it is just completely broken on Moze with my extra fire damage. I just killed (spoiler coming)
the first Calypso twin and it still completely melted him even though the mission was level 38. Every badass dies in seconds. The gun is just a cheat when it procs the elemental damage.
BTW just got a higher level one that is even more broken… Be on the lookout and try out Hosts, they are easily the best weapon I found so far. Easily.
Wtf is going here…? Everything about this is wrong. 1-The picture is extremely blurry, so you cant even tell what you’re looking at. 2-Isnt this a pic of a sniper rifle? This thread is about shotguns. 3-wtf is reddit?

Out of the top 3 most OP guns I’ve found, two were shotguns.
ATM Flakker is amazing.
I’ve tried the one pump chump, but meh, it just doesn’t do much. At all. It should be given the card.
There’s one that’s a blue mission item, it looks to be a reworked teeth of terramorpheous. Great gun.
Conference call is good circumstantionally.

any any shotty i’ve seen so far.

I got The Boring Gun at Level 24 and it just shreds bosses. Was initially struggling against the Warden as I couldn’t pump lead into him fast enough to prevent him constantly regenerating. Then I got this from a chest and finished him off in around 30 seconds or so. Didn’t regenerate once. And that Boss in Jakobs Manor didn’t last long, either. It tears shields and lowers health faster than any other weapon I’ve seen. Not so good against fast moving enemies but it’s just as good as the DPUH in FFYL situations when surrounded by enemies. Amazing shotgun
Found an annointed butcher that does +300% gun damage after phase slam that’s pretty wild.
Radio-active flakker is still the most OP shotgun I’ve found though.
I have a lvl50 one I kinda wanna marry, is that wrong?
Radioactive Flakker is almost game breaking, I was running it and nothing else the last leg of my first playthrough.
Conference Call seems a bit underwhelming in this iteration, might have gotten one with bad parts but not sure yet. Just had Brainstormer drop so I’ll be testing that. Still need a Face-Puncher though.
