Have you attempted/will attempt to platinum TPS?

What does it mean to 'Platinum" something?

If it’s a BL2 inside joke then I don’t know it. Not that far into the story yet :grimacing:

It’s when you got all the game’s trophies in PSN, you gain an extra “platinum” trophy.

Yup, what the above user said. It’s a PS3 term.

Ah… Playstation, thanks!

Did anyone else notice that Bl1s platinum trophy says it’s requirement is “beat all bosses”, which is not true, like every other Platnium you need all trophys, and there are bosses that don’t need killing to get it.

Jimmy Jenkins is a rare loot midget you’ve got to ‘encounter’ to finish the challenge trophy. Found him a few times farming the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve (have Doctor’s Orders subquest active with none of the echoes found). Also keep an eye out for Michael Mamaril each time you’re in Sanctuary

Ha, just encountered him before. Shot at a Scag egg/pile that hangs from trees and he popped out. Dude kinda scared me.

havent got 100% yet, but I have used that Mission to max out all of my weapon challenges, all elemental challenges, all grenade challenges

“Come on, mate – get your head in the game! We’re trying to capture them here!”

fixed, I’ve heard it so many times between grinding the challenges and powerleveling people with that mission, I know most all of that by heart, though I have started tuning that out now when there

got 100% on BL2 and TPS (so far…) Cant wait for the next DLC

Yeah, I grew sick of it very fast. I got my shotgun challenge done and never went back.

How long did it take to 100% BL2? Minus all the hours you weren’t on the PS3 of course.

I guess it’s a combination of both a speedrun, and a completionist run? If that’s the case, never.

  1. Speedruns are in my opinion, a last ditch effort in a game. It’s the last time I’ll replay a game and then set it down forever because I’ve done every possible combination of gameplay to keep it interesting.

  2. Completionist runs are only for games where (again, in my opinion, I know I shouldn’t have to state that but I’ve seen what happens when I don’t) everything is worth doing. I’m not going to complete those grinder challenges, I’m not going to kill that many Shuggaraths and Rathyds, I’m not going to keep dashboarding for the “I can do this alone” challenge, I’m going to avoid as many sidequests as possible where Pickle speaks.

“ere to help, if the price is right!”

He was pretty damn annoying. Only reason why I platinumed it is because it’s a game that i’ll be playing for a long time. Speed runs are no fun, so I wouldn’t do it either. No fun in getting someone to power level me to 60 and slaughter everything on sight and get a platinum in less than a couple of days. Only thing that I did along the way was have my brother tag along on split screen so I could level my Aurelia and his Claptrap so I could get that vault hunter.exe trophy quicker. Did the same with Nisha’s so I could get that trophy of hers too. Other than that, I took everything slow and had a blast

It depends if you are keeping an eye on the challanges to get the “Challenge Accepted” trophy but you will need more than 100 hours for sure!

@metal_mayhem the reason i didnt get it while playing BL2 before was i never got all the side missions done on any one toon. i was only missing all side quests for torgue, scarletts, hammerlocks and the vanilla. grabbed a rough rider and my 72 maya and specced into fleet and zoomed around doing all missions in an area as efficeintly as possible. didnt take long. any one who wants help with any trophy im on ps3 and psn is the same

@psicocrusher whaaaaaaat? shouldnt take that long if you paying attention to challenges.

@shaolincfh It took me 150 hours aprox.
