Healing power vs healing received?

I don’t think so.

Can you also test Biosynthesis? I would but I’m stuck at work :frowning:

Sorry already got off for tonight. If you find out do let me know though. I like Miko also.

And that only makes sense.

Why would +healing power not affect healing yourself?
Healing power should increase all healing no matter if you heal your teammates, yourself or friendly minions.
Healing received only affects the person using that item.

It would have been weird if it didn’t work that way. Nice of you to try it though.

I’m trying to understand this as well. If healing power increased how much sun spot heals, for example, should it not heal me more too?

It should and it does.

Ok so healing received only matters for if there are other healers affecting me (Miko, Ambra, supply station) but if I am playing AS the healer then I might as well just use heal power because I’ll heal myself more too?

I just wanna know which one affects lifesteal… The only healer I play is ambra and I don’t use the helix where her beam heals teammates at the cost of her own life. So I never really saw much of a benefit increasing how much her sunspots heal because they have a finite amount of health they can give. So all its gonna do is drain the sunspots a little faster. Especially if there’s a couple people, an enemy, and a couple minions stroll by.

So I’m more concerned about getting more lifesteal, because the more survivability I have in turn I can put down more sunspots.

Since lifesteal is based on the damage you do I’ve actually been using a couple pieces of attack damage gear and 1 piece with healing power. But I would think healing power or healing received affects lifesteal. One of them has to.

Pretty sure +Healing Received directly affects lifesteal

Healing power will make your sunspot better and healing received will improve your staff beam

The big flaw in your thinking is that you’re forgetting Ambra’s beam is actually terrible now. You’re at risk of losing more than what you’ll gain. Her beam is primarily just heat generation now.

With the sunspot debuff and all the extra attack damage from gear it makes a pretty noticeable difference. Plus you’re getting a little more life steal (ambra is all about survivability) and more damage from scorching strikes which are the absolute most fun way to finish someone off.

I personally just find that to be way more beneficial than zapping my sunspots faster. If it increases the amount of health the sunspots had I would be all about it. But is it really that helpful to have your sunspot heal you quicker, when it doesn’t even heal that much anyway.

I think lifesteal is way more important and I haven’t seen any lifesteal gear besides raths, so attack damage and attack speed are the only things I know of to increase lifesteal. Plus If you really stack attack damage, you’re almost getting the beam damage and lifesteal back to prenerf status. I said almost lol…

I also wanna throw this out there because I never see it talked about it or used by any ambra players.

I know many people build up solar wind and focus on scorching strikes, using solar wind to quickly build up heat after the initial scorching strikes.

I won’t get into why I don’t use solar wind and pretty much only use scorching strikes to finish enemies, but the mutation to make her slam her spear and knock enemies back is totally underrated and sooooo much fun.

The main reason I started using it was because of raths ult since ambra doesn’t really have a CC effect. But I quickly learned a bunch of other benefits to it:

-defensively (raths ult) or just to buy some space to flee the engagement. Or even to save allies from a melee onslaught. Of just to push a wave of enemies off the front line to buy some time.

-offensively. I find it very hard to get player kills with extinction event since the big diamond thing broadcasts to everyone that it’s coming. So I put it down behind and push them into it. Flank around and push an unsuspecting damaged enemy into a group of teammates. Stop an enemy from kiting. Those are just a few examples but just being able to manipulate the enemies movement is so fun.

-most importantly and also the most satisfying… You can literally knock thrall off the freaking map lol. It doesn’t always work at the solo camps but the middle one you can knock 1 off 80% of the time. The first slam puts them up on the lip and the second slam knocks them right off. I mainly play incursion and thrall are a huge part of the game. When a character like Ambra can single handedly claim 2 thrall in basically the same amount of time as claiming the solo camp, that’s huge. Not to mention I’ve also stolen thrall by knocking enemy players off the map at the same spot. Its so fun and probably the most satisfying thing I’ve found in this game lol.

If you don’t believe me just try it out. Or don’t, lol I’ll keep this little secret to myself.

Has it been determined that lifesteal is healing recieved?
