Hello fellow battleborn. Important Announcement inside!

Battleborn is a game that has a chance to become big. We are only a few days into the release and as we know there has not been much advertising for this game. So it is up to us to advertise battleborn, but how do we go about this? Share this game with friends and family. Promote it at your local college or school. Talking about the game is the best form of advertising we can get. We need to come up with a way to unite all players across platforms to do this. No one by themselves is able to do the promoting and gearbox can only do so much with the budget they currently have.

A lot of us want this game to become an esport game, but again nobody is doing anything to promote it. If you want to follow battleborn on a daily basis then tune into my stream at twitch.tv/bluechronos . I made this channel strictly to play battleborn so invite your friends and family to come watch so we can spread this game around and make it the hit we want it to be.

Also this game has had a horrible launch. Not from servers or stability issues but rather people posting ■■■■ on steam forums about how bad the game plays for them. We need to make topics that are interested, draw people in and keep them interacted with the community. So lets do this. I encourage everyone that reads this to go on the steam forums and start posting the positive things you love about the game.

Stop comparing this to overwatch. The two games are similar but with different gameplay and different ways to play the game. Battleborn is Battleborn and Overwatch is Overwatch. We have to stop comparing because when ever I hear people talk about which one is better they say they are both the same game just by different companies. This is not true! You can find overwatch and battleborn videos on my stream at twitch.tv/bluechronos

tl:dr: read the post

I´m so with you here - its ■■■■■■■ amazing to read something positive during these dark days!

I´d love to support your campaign, but I´m no streamer at all and playing on XB1 - Buuuut you can be sure I´ll support and advertise Battleborn in the best/only way I can: Doing fanart ^.^

Also: For your interest and fanart needs, I opened a Battleborn group back in 2015 on deviantART and hope it gathers more members soon.

Whilst I’m all about the love, etc, I find the title misleading: what are you announcing?

@Psychichazard I am announcing that we as a community need to work together to achieve the playerbase and goals we want as community. Without the work that each player needs to put in, the game will fail. As seen by the numbers on the steam platform going from 10k to 7k in just 24 hours.

Well, that’s more of a suggestion, really.

As much as that may be true, if you use the word announcement usually more people come to a thread to see what the announcement is and they stay for the forum content.

I’d consider it a favour if you were to reconsider using clickbait in a thread title, then. Imagine how hard it would be for people to find what they are looking for if everyone used that technique. People are already on this forum. It’s best if threads are presented accurately.

It’s like one of those envelopes you get in the mail that proclaims “URGENT!” When nothing could be further from the truth.

Having said that, the sentiment that the community can help be goodwill ambassadors for the game is true. Unfortunately, I think Battleborn is a game people kind of need to try for themselves to see how much fun it is. I hope they will consider a trial account of some sort (perhaps excluded to playing only with other trial members).

I don’t have any kind of problem with the sentiment, at all. But a better title might be ‘How to fight the haters’ or ‘countermedia suggestions’ or something. I’ll remove this discussion from the thread when this is resolved.

I will be telling everyone to avoid this game and get Overwatch.

You can tell the Devs have no idea how to handle online and this game will get very little support going forward.

then why are you even here @themove9 if you are not going to be enjoying the game, you are just ruining it for the rest of us.

Well to be fair, people are welcome to post their opinions of the game, even if it is negative. It is allowed.

So long as it’s all kept respectful.

Apparently you dont know gearbox very well.
They are great at what they do. they love their fans, and their games. they support their players. and their games.
They listen to players feedback and improve on their games.

The game has only been out two days. Yes there is still some stuff that can be added. and some stuff that needs fixed.

There was also little to 0 advertising for this game. How do they expect it to get big with out advertising so we as the players should do it for them.
