Well there you go, seems strange they would do that considering it’s not that amazing that getting multiples or farming would be broken, especially since it would have to be limited to one per playthrough
Just gave it another five attempts (I must be at over fifty now.) I can get into his third shield phase but still struggling.
I got The Machine with shock damage from a vending machine, but firing from the hip just isn’t landing enough hits to make it worth using. My Vibra-Pulse is also so underlevelled that it’s next to useless - does little damage and doesn’t provide enough healing to be worth using.
I’ve also tried using the Moxx-Tail that reduced enemy damage by 20%. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference. Still dropping after only a few hits. I may start using the one with health regeneration, but I’m not optimistic.
The problem isn’t inflicting damage - I can bring down its shields and health well enough when I get to focus on it. The problem is I’m getting killed far too easily. It only seems to take a couple of hits from anything to drop me even going from full health and shields. And those flying a***holes always seem to go just out of reach every time I go into FFYL, giving me nothing to get a Second Wind from.
I’m really starting to think this fight is not meant to be possible with Aurelia. I just don’t get how she’s supposed to beat it.
So I believe there is a glitch that lets you farm the vibrapulse, also the key to the second phase of the fight (large one) is to stay moving! I don’t think he had more than 5 attacks and they are very easy to get around if you know the signs.
My recomendation is to just jump and run around the outside of the arena where there are constant ammo drops, some attacks that give you a good opportunitie to smash face; when he starts charging up that little black hole ball in his hands is a great time to just smash his face, the attack that raises multiple platforms and electrifies the ground gives you ample time to smash more face, the attack where he slams the ground launching you up then creating a massive nova that will healthgate you can be easily a voided by butt slamming the minute youre launched or jumping up before he slams the ground no opportunity to smash face but you just don’t want to get caught by this, finally this only really applies to the acid form, when he puts his arms down and generates a massive acid pool do two things; stand to the side of his arms and smash face and never walk back into that nasty acid you will catch a dot. Other than this you just need to jump around the outside rim and take a few shots here and there, this will keep the guardians off you back, I’ve Found they’re pretty fragile and I like to keep em around incase I go down, but if you’re really good at recognizing and avoiding his attacks I don’t see a reason why you couldn’t just kill them outright.
This thread is like a sports movie, you get knocked down but you always get back up kinda thing, I can’t wait for the "I did it!!! " post!
I DID DO IT!
Finally…
The running and jumping strategy does work, and is necessary to take down the Seras (the real dangers in this fight.) I already knew to slam down to avoid his nova, but it’s still a pain of an attack. In the end, leaving a Sera around the other end of the arena prevents more from being spawned, leaving you to concentrate on the Empyrean.
In the end, the gear I used was: a Dahl Catalyzing Splitter for its shields; a Vladof Resolute Anarchist (the real MVP) for its health; a Booster Shield; Lobbed Transfusion Grenades (explosive) with a nice short fuse; good ol’ 3DD1.E; and a Celestial Baroness Class Mod. I also made use of the damage reduction Moxx-Tail, which I didn’t even know I how much I missed until I tried without it.
So job done! Now I can look forward to playing through the Claptastic Voyage and fighting that damned Denial Subroutine…
Yaaaay!
Way to go bro!
I’m glad some of my advice was helpful!
Also after the sentinel I doubt denial subroutine will be that bad.
Sorry I’m late to the party, but congrats on the kill!
I just wanted to add something that I didn’t see yet n this thread. If you can get the Hail assault rifle (comes in various elements), then that weapon should help survivability against the E. Sentinel. Its arc and splitting bullets work well into landing into that sucker’s face. Plus, since it’s also a Moxxi weapon, spamming it will also keep your health up as lon as you are hitting something with it.
Let me congratulate you first and foremost on the kill, @nicholas_p_smith.
As you’re new to the forum, I don’t know whether or not you’re ever looking for groups to help you with any kills you may be having difficulty with, but we do support that here as well.

Thanks, and enjoy your stay!
I did get my hands on a shock Hail at one point and tried using it. Unfortunately I wasn’t used to it’s peculiar fire arc and had trouble landing hits. I did terrific damage when it did hit, though. Just not very effective in my hands.
