Spend moonstones in the bar to regen some ammo for round 5. All is going well and I decide to install the vault keys that I picked up. Install said keys and immediately get sucked into the light. DEAD!
To be fair, the game told you to stay away from the light
…which isn’t very useful when the light has its own gravity.
You mean the warning as it is happening? haha
And it doesn’t help that said gravity effects jumping to a horrifyingly deadly amount as well, so we, who we are taught throughout the game and the Holodome itself to jump as often as we can, intinctively jump to our deaths
I finished the Badass Round for the first time and got a Cry Baby. WTF?
The badass round gives you any of the holodome loot in its loot pool, its random within that loot pool.
So I got a T4S-R, a skin I don’t want, a Chronicler Mod, a Party Line, another Party Line, and a Cry Baby respectively.
That sucked.
Did anybody feel that Holodome Badass Round is a lot tougher now?
I do and I can see now how shield recharge bug was helping me to complete the later waves without a problem.
Shhh!
(padding for ten characters)
Got 2 legendary berrigans in total and lots of plunketts and party lines. Barely ever got a classmod above blue.
@akdere1:
The shield recharge bug is gone? I can play my roid shield builds again? Ooh, what joy.Now they just need to fix the ffyl cryo bug and then we can finally experience the dome the way it was intended.
Remember to shoot and use the jump pads to zoom around. It makes the hunting go MUCH faster.
It’s easily worth $10 to me. I do end up muting the music though. The fight is fun and I learned from it. Slamming enemies for example. Sure I slammed enemies before. But now I take advantage of slamming enemies off cliffs more frequently in the rest of the game. I like the new gear and the extra legendary chances. It could still use an adjustment for solo perhaps (it’s a little unfair and longer in solo because there are no friends to revive yourself you and you have to find all the enemies yourself) but I still enjoy it even then. Great way to level up to 60.
Apparently I’ve clicked the like button too frequently. But yea. This post. So much agreed. Also, forum dudes, raise the limit on how many likes you can do in an hour. I swear I didn’t use it poorly.
What’s a appropriate level to be to play in normal mode? I heard the claptrap dlc was around 30 ish, is this the same for holodome?
in normal mode holodome starts at level 24.
really a shame this dlc got such unfair criticism, the BA round provides some of the most enjoyable and challenging mobbing in the pre-sequel and it’s just perfect for post-sentinel leveling.
Ok thanks, I have Aurelia at level 20 so just a few more. I’ve been wanting to check out the holodome to see it for myself.
I actually enjoy the Holodome. It actually requires some level of strategy and thought toward ammunition management and time out of Action Skill. You can’t simply go in, pop AS, and glitch your way through. You can snipe, get up close, run and gun, or hide-and-seek.
Honestly, it’s some of my favorite content in TPS.
It also gives me,a good reason to use moxxitails, ammo regen is nice in there
Honestly, I don’t care for the Holodome that much. It feels like it should be part of a DLC, like Murdeline’s Temple or Pyro Pete’s Bar, rather than a full priced DOC on its own. And if it was that, I would probably like it a bit more. But I’m its own, it’s just kinda meh. I still run my characters through it for extra XP, but beyond that, it’s just kinda there.
The size of the Holodome DLC can not overshadow how fun the combat in Holodome was.
Besides, no story missions, but such arenas add huge longevity to the game.
My favorite content in TPS, too. It was even better than the claptastic voyage arena leet haxorz
