*Horde Mode Idea*

Love the idea. Drop rates are waaaay too high (Unless each round takes like an hour) The game’s drops are about RNG. I’d say as you go along you have a higher and higher chance to get a legendary though. Maybe there’s a “round (#) lootpack” that gives you more and more stuff, or better and better stuff, the higher the wave number, and so if you do 10 rounds you’d get one “Round 10 lootpack” that may guarantee rare or higher, and give you a total of like say 4 pieces of gear and 500 credits. And at the end of every 5th round you get one of those chests that give a piece of gear and an extra life and some other stuff (the six slots).

Well unfortunately it’s still a thing of fiction so It’s hard to consider what rewards are appropriate. Adv. Hardcore is a high amount of risk for a horde mode; theoretically anyway. Credits should be apart of the wave rewards as well I agree. As for the numbers, I just typed nonsense because nothing I put would be accurate (Either too much or too little either way).

Merging threads…Please do not be concerned if you experience any disorientation.

The game needs to be fixed in many ways first but I would love to have a horde mode.

I would love any type of new mode or map! Alas the game isn’t as bad as people make it out to be but to each his own. I don’t need someone to tell me how to have a good time (88hrs clocked in reg game and about the same amt during the beta) I would say I’m hooked.

I was more or less making a joke towards the “story” mode as they called it that Gearbox is pushing in this game. Too many games are doing horde mode type things and it’s boring and quite frankly I hate it.

I don’t get it.

Every single game forum I’ve been on has had some group of people begging for a horde mode. I’ve seen this suggested for Mass Effect, Titanfall, Destiny, the list goes on and it doesn’t make sense to me. People seem to treat horde mode like the holy grail of gaming, yet it is often the least interesting when compared to other modes of play.

Please explain to me what is so great about horde mode.

It’s fun.

Well in this case it’s just cutting to the chase.

*Rather than running through the campaign you’re just fighting for the loot.
*Typically they’re both challenging, rewarding, and self-motivating (As players slowly make it further and further).
*Give players the option to play as long or as short as they desire (in some cases).
*Compact (also no filler or “adventures to grandma’s house”)

Also Mass Effect had a horde mode o- o; a pretty fun one at that.

In so many games that have this mode people are still playing it. Look at COD:AW…dead besides zombies. Look at GEARS…still playing it.

This is the mode many people play with their friends be it a sit on the couch and play thing or after school thing or late night play a game and ■■■■■■■■ with friends game. It just is more fun to some people then constantly running through missions or playing MP and being or feeling the competitiveness of said MP.

Also a difference of opinions. I love it. Others love it. You don’t. Because they add it doesn’t mean you are required to play it.

This is a team game, you know that right?

Anyways, I would love a Horde mode.
Honestly make it never stop and just get harder and harder and have a leader board of what wave people got to.

Also live the idea of making Battleborn Heros boss types. Buff up there hp and dmg and such, maybe even there size(lol) and make them the bosses maybe.

I agree, I think GBX should more with the factions. I just made a post about it here.

I think the last stand element adds to the excitement. On regular difficulty many groups just coast through the story missions without much challenge. I haven’t tried the higher difficulty barring a solo run, but I can see desperate defence to be exciting. I really enjoy the unlimited runs of Orcs must die 2 for similar reasons. Sometimes you miss something and have to adjust on the fly to shore up defences.

I think a Horde Mode, a boss run and some big dedicated raid-like missions would go down pretty well for variety.

I like it! But what if the bosses where all the bosses from story missions? So it can be a good place to farm your story mission legendaries and gain character ranks and stuff. So basically the ultimate farming area.

I was a fan of horde modes back in the day. Endless madness!

Want!

I LOVE the idea, but 100 waves might be a bit much.

This concept to me, sounds like a Battleborn Tap-like mode, wave after wave, but instead of a boss at the end, they should do one every 10 waves or so. kind of a survival mode. anyways, I like the idea and hope they do something similar

Abso-freakin-lutely!!! Make it so… that it can be done with 1 to 10 battleborn. But It would be too much like Underdome, So instead of wave based it would be timed based. Basically horde survival, can you survive anywhere from the short 15 min to the dreaded 100 minutes survival. the longer you last the better the gear drops, heck instead of a single battleborn boss, it would be a wave of 3 to 5 battleborn AI.

Maybe even a Horde defense mode. same idea but you have to protect a S7 wolf sentry (with the same abilities in the voids edge mission)

^ Maybe have enemy battleborn ai equal to the number of players in the match. :3
Also, YES wow, 10 player horde mode? :o That’d be insane.
