How do I not die in 8 seconds?

Find a few mains with a spare for a certain role (like Miko for Healer) if your team warrants it.

Don’t try to master 15+ chars at once. Going above 5 usually start ruinings your overall gameplay power unless your general basic skill is so much better than the other side.

Some beginner friendly characters for you OP would be Oscar Mike, Montana, or Marquis.

  1. Oh, well I was chasing anyone and everything lol. Noted.
  2. Yep, was doing that
  3. Noted
  4. Noted

Thank you, I wrote those bullet points down for reference

I would suggest playing some SMITE if you want to learn about how to play a MOBA that is the most similar to Battleborn.

If you want to be defensive, play a defensive character like Montana. You could also play miko because playing him as a healer forces teammates to stick with you. If you’re getting destroyed by combo characters (rath or phoebe), learn to use your middle mouse button to swipe them away.

ok, I will start downloading SMITE. Thanks for the advice, especially about the middle button,

What system do you play on OP?

I am playing on the PC.

Try Thorn. I was really getting my tail kicked until I fell in love with that character.
You can do incredible damage at distances beyond what you can be hurt.

Focus on leveling and objectives early on. If you fall behind in exp you will get wrecked. Remember this is a moba and not a pure shooter. Hero level is just as if not more important then twitch skills in mobas.

I would add Rath to this list, if you want to delve into melee.

Tip nr.1 - Unless you play Capture, focus on killing minions and staying alive. Don’t mind about getting enemy kills. If you damage them enough to make them retreat from lane - you won, no need to chase. Minions are the main source of your leveling. And especially early on. And there is nothing as frustrating as playing underleveled character. Once you hit level 4-5, group up more with team and go for team fights. But still don’t forget about minions.

Tip nr.2 - look at minimap at least every 10 seconds, you will have much better understanding what’s happening around you.

Tip nr.3 if you see that you are alone, fall back closer to your logistic buildables/turrets. Even the slowing one can make more numerous enemy force work quite a bit to dispose of you.

Tip nr.4 - if you are low on health and are not healer char (and there is no healer nearby), retreat a bit and press “B” to teleport to base and this way get a full health. Not dying is one of more important objectives in this game.

I will do that, thank you for taking the time to help

If the battleborn community as a whole is like this, I will be a fan for life. So basically what I am trying to say is thank you. I was doing the complete opposite of each of your suggestions.

Keep at it brother. You’ll be fine

Noob question. Where in the world do you send giant minions from? I’m actually doing well as Miko since I started playing (well when I have a decent team, PS if anyone wants to team up on PS4 give your PSN I’m down to get a team goin). I end up with way too many shards after a while & build up turrets & stuff, but often feel like I could send some giant minions to do some extra damage (I’ve noticed a couple teams sent all 5 of their guys same path, would’ve been a great time I think).

Thanks ahead for any responses!

Play a cheap character like Rath or Phoebe. You’ll get creamed until level 5, so just farm minions for a while. Eventually you’ll be unstoppable so just spam your ultimate power on anyone you can and you’ll get kills.

Dont suggest him Oscar Mike he brings nothing for the team, just a bit damage!

I will assume you are asking about Meltdown. On both maps you can reach them by going via central road out from base. For example on Paradise - they are near the healing station in the middle. If you look from it back towards the base - you’ll see those two “horns” near the wall there.

Oscar Mike brings fun to the team. What could be more valuable than that?

Except maybe pancakes. I wonder if we could get him to bring pancakes.

Give Mike a try. A great character when you are trying to figure things out.

Kek no, best and easiest zoning potential and wave control in the game. A good Oscar can single handedly control the minion waves, capture thrall and come back to clear another wave. Add in his ult and the choke point fight = win.
